Meet Herman DeVries, a true craftsman whose passion continues to shape life at Wittenberg Village.

Since 1957, Herman has been handcrafting custom woodworking pieces, and his latest creation is something special: a stunning 4-foot charcuterie board designed for community gatherings and celebrations. Crafted from rich maple and walnut, this one-of-a-kind piece showcases not only remarkable skill, but a lifelong dedication to creating and sharing.

From building beautiful, raised flower beds to collaborating with the culinary team, Herman is always pursuing new projects and bringing ideas to life. You will often find him in his personal woodworking shop, built right here so he can continue doing what he loves, creating custom pieces for neighbors, friends and family.

It is just one example of how passions are celebrated and talents are shared every day.
