New Year’s Eve in Italy is a time to put an end to the problems of the past and open the door to the possibilities of the New Year. And you want to ensure that you do so in the most fortuitous manner. So wear something red, the traditional color of good fortune, on New Year’s Eve. If you’re Italian that would be red underwear!

We’re getting excited about the 2026 Winter Olympics hosted by Milan and Cortina d’Apezzo but the events take place across 3 regions including Verona and the Val d’Fiemme. Love these areas - great times spent visiting. Can't wait to see the Opening Ceremony February 6th at San Siro (Milan), the Closing Ceremony February 22nd at the Verona Arena and everything in between. Look for our special "Olimpiadi invernali" menu with Taste and Learn Highlights posted during this time.

Lots going on this time of the year so we're posting one of our favorite ingredients from "I'd Rather be Out Riding My Vespa" -Segreti di Sicilia Sugo alla Norma Tomato Sauce with Eggplant. Open a jar and 2 minutes is all it takes to make a dish to remember. A flavorful short cut to any pasta dish. Open a jar, pour into a skillet, add about 1/2 jar of pasta water to loosen the sauce and a 1/2 - 1 lb of pasta cooked to al dente. Toss and serve. https://www.cosituttimarketplace.com/product-page/frantoi-cutrera-norma-tomato-sauce-with-eggplant
