Kathy Wheeler is Retiring! 🎉

After more than 25 incredible years of dedicated service, Kathy Wheeler is officially retiring!

Kathy has been an essential part of our transport team and has served as a CNA for many, many years. Her compassion, dedication, and genuine kindness have touched countless lives — residents, families, and coworkers alike.

We have truly been blessed to have Kathy on our team for as long as we did. She is one of those rare, genuine human beings who makes every day a little brighter just by being herself.

Please join us in wishing Kathy a joyful, relaxing, and well-deserved retirement. 💐 You have certainly earned it, Kathy — enjoy every minute! ❤️

From elegant outfits to sparkling smiles, our 2026 Sweethearts Ball was filled with love, laughter, music, and fun. Our King and Queen-Jerry Anderson and Gloria Wills had front row seats as Andrew played some lovely songs. Happy Valentine’s Day from all of us at ICMCF.

Our February Resident in the Spotlight:
Margaret is from Sagola area where she raised 4 children. She worked at the Melvin Johnson Potato Farm, The Sagola Mobile Mart, and in between got her Beautician License. She also worked with her sister in law in an upholstery business and actually worked on some of the furniture you see at ICMCF. She also was very involved in her community and church. She enjoys coming down for all of our music programs and she certainly has a fun sense of humor. Her favorite thing is spending time with her family and friends. If you see Margaret be sure to congratulate her on being chosen as our : February Resident in the Spotlight

🎉 Congratulations to our very first CNA Class of 2026! 🎉

Today we celebrated an incredible group of students who showed up ready to learn, work hard, and maybe laugh a little along the way 😉 These amazing graduates are full of promise, compassion, and dedication, and we couldn’t be more proud of them.

👏 Huge congratulations to Haylea Shearin, Connie Barnes, AnnMarie Nordstrom, Christopher Martin, Kinsey Contreras, and Elexus Hoffman — your future residents are lucky to have you!

A very special thank you to our amazing Staff Development Coordinator, Alisa Santi, and our new Staff Development Assistant, Andrew Pritchard, for guiding, teaching, encouraging, and believing in this group every step of the way. They are confident these students will flourish into outstanding CNAs — and we couldn’t agree more!

We wanted to share a little sunshine on this wicked cold day! ❄️

☀️ Sunshine Award Winner – Jessica Carlson ☀️

Please help us congratulate Jessica Carlson, LPN, on being our latest Sunshine Award recipient!

Jessica has been a valued part of our team for over 4 years. After spending some time in our IP department, she now serves as a Neighborhood Nurse, where she continues to make a meaningful impact every day.

Jessica received this award for truly going above and beyond during an admission, helping residents and their families feel welcomed, cared for, and loved from the very first moment.

Her favorite part of the job is the relationships she builds with her residents, who she says truly feel like family. One of her favorite memories is a moment we can all appreciate—when our resident Charlie laughed so hard that it became contagious and had everyone laughing right along with him.

Thank you, Jessica, for the compassion, warmth, and sunshine you bring to our community every day. We are so lucky to have you! 💛

Once again our beautiful Valentine Tree is in our front lobby with all of our residents/tenants names inside a heart ornament. For over 25 + years the community has come together and assured each resident/tenant is remembered. Friends, family, church groups, businesses, kids, or any one with a kind heart is invited to pick a name and deliver a small gift on or before Valentines Day. Thank You so much for remembering us!
