✨Don’t Outlive Your Brain✨

I don’t want to outlive my brain, and I don’t think you do either. When women lose hormones, the brain is one of the first places that feels it, memory, clarity, and cognition can quietly decline long before anyone calls it a diagnosis.

Studies show that women who take hormone replacement therapy have a lower risk of dementia, yet so many were denied hormones because of fear based black box warnings. You are not a number. Some 60 year olds feel 50, and some 50 year olds feel 80. The question is not your age, it is what is actually happening inside your body.

✨Oral Estrogen Risks✨

Birth control pills increase the risk of heart attack and stroke for a reason, and it comes down to how estrogen is processed in the body. When estrogen is taken orally, it goes straight to the liver, triggering inflammatory chemicals that raise cardiovascular risk. That is not how your ovaries ever released estrogen.

There is a huge difference between oral estrogen and transdermal estrogen like creams or patches that bypass the digestive system and enter the bloodstream directly. When hormones are used the way your body was designed to receive them, they can support heart health, brain health, and longevity. You deserve to be your best, and there is no number where you are suddenly too late for hormones.

✨“Too Late” For HRT?✨

I call B.S. on the idea that you are “too late” for hormone replacement therapy. You are not a number, you are an individual, and you deserve a healthy brain, real intimacy, and a full quality of life. That outdated 10 year rule was built on fear, not on what the science actually shows.

Non oral estrogen does not cause heart disease, and the retraction of the black box warning was huge for women’s health. If you were denied hormones because your doctor did not have the right information at the time, you should not be penalized for that. Ask better questions. Demand individualized care. Your body deserves it.

✨Women Have Testosterone Too✨

Testosterone in women is completely understudied, and yet it affects fatigue, libido, and more. Instead of evaluating it, many women are handed birth control pills because they’re easy, simple, and suppress symptoms fast. But easy does not mean correct, and it certainly does not mean safe or natural.

If you’re struggling with fatigue, low libido, difficulty making decisions, or feeling overly emotional, those can all be signs of low testosterone, and this can happen at any point in your reproductive years. Add in a life that’s constantly chaotic and impossible to track, and that alone becomes a health risk. Hormone therapy has to match your reality, your physiology, and your goals, not just convenience.

✨Why Irregular Periods?✨

If you’re not having regular periods, you’re not making progesterone. That’s one of the earliest hormone shifts in perimenopause, and it’s why so many women start feeling off long before menopause officially arrives. This stage can be tricky, and pretending it isn’t doesn’t help anyone.

The most natural way to replace progesterone during perimenopause is cyclic dosing, two weeks on, two weeks off, to mimic ovulation. This early window matters because studies show you get the most benefit from hormone therapy when you start in perimenopause or very early menopause. One more thing most women are never told, irregular cycles do not mean zero fertility. Pregnancy is unlikely, but it is not impossible.

Can’t Hold Pee…

Waking up multiple times a night to p*e, leaking on the way to the bathroom, or feeling like the urge is way stronger than the tiny amount that actually comes out? This is not normal aging. These symptoms often start years earlier from childbirth, nerve stretching, or even high-impact exercise and they worsen during menopause when estrogen declines.

The good news is you never have to just live with it because it’s “tolerable.” There are real treatments that can restore control, calm urgency, and support the tissues that keep your bladder functioning the way it was designed to. You deserve to feel confident, comfortable, and in control again.

✨Estrogen Causes Heart Attacks?✨

The uterus is not smart, it responds to whatever hormones you give it. That’s why the form of hormone therapy matters more than most women are ever told. Oral estrogen is the piece that raises the risk of heart attack and stroke, yet it’s still commonly prescribed because it’s easy and familiar.

Irregular bleeding should never be brushed off as “just hormones.” It’s the primary symptom doctors are trained to rule out when it comes to uterine cancer or pre cancer. This is why hormone replacement therapy needs to be thoughtful, bioidentical, and matched to your body. Hormones are the keys, receptors are the locks, and you need both working properly to feel your best.
