“I’ve always appreciated this pharmacy. I have been getting prescriptions filled with them for 18 years for myself my kids and my grandkids. They are very friendly and they come to know you. After Recently dealing with my husband‘s pharmacy at a nearby chain grocery store, I have come to further appreciate the amenities at this store. I like the easy access of the reach out drawer at the drive up. I like the fact that they communicate with you on the status of your prescription. At the store my husband uses, you just don’t hear about it unless you go and ask them about it. Then they’ll say oh we didn’t have that we’re awaiting a shipment. That store is always waiting on a shipment. My pharmacist was super helpful with my heart medication when I was having trouble getting responses from my doctor and running out of medication. I appreciate the people at this pharmacy.”

WHO joins the UN in observing this day each year, reinforcing the importance of securing the rights of people with disabilities, so they can participate fully, equally and effectively in society with others, and face no barriers in all aspects of their lives.

New flu strain raises concerns.

The United States may be facing another difficult influenza season, partly due to lagging vaccination rates and a newly mutated strain called Subclade K. This variant has already caused early surges in the United Kingdom, Canada, and Japan, and health experts warn it's just a plane or car ride away from widespread U.S. transmission if it hasn't arrived already.

Last winter's flu season was particularly severe, with the highest hospitalization rates in nearly 15 years. At least 280 children died from influenza complications, marking the highest pediatric death toll on record dating back to 2004.

The good news is that current flu vaccines do provide some protection against the new strain. Healthcare providers recommend getting vaccinated before gathering with vulnerable relatives during the upcoming holiday season.
