Cuba Memorial Hospital Ushers in a New Era of Leadership and Community-Centered Care

(From the March 28, 2026 edition of The Cuba Digital Gazette)

CUBA, NY – Cuba Memorial Hospital (CMH) is proud to announce a transformative new chapter in its 100-year history. With the appointment of a dynamic new executive management team and the addition of strategic expertise to its Board of Directors, CMH is reinforcing its commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate healthcare to the residents of Allegany County and the surrounding region.

A Visionary at the Helm: Introducing CEO Robin Gach
Leading this new era is Chief Executive Officer Robin Gach, a Cuba resident who brings a deep personal and professional investment to the hospital’s success. Ms. Gach is dedicated to strengthening CMH’s role as a trusted healthcare cornerstone, focusing on innovation, accessibility, and the patient-centered care that families deserve.

“I am proud to be part of the community I serve,” says Ms. Gach. “My vision is defined by trust and excellence. We are not just a hospital; we are a partner in the well-being of our neighbors. I look forward to leading CMH into a chapter where every resident feels supported by outstanding, local care.”

Strengthening the Care Team
Joining Ms. Gach in leadership are two seasoned professionals dedicated to clinical excellence:

Nicole Jones, RN/DON (Director of Nursing): A local resident from Rushford with 34 years of experience, Nicole returns to her home community to oversee nursing operations. Her extensive background in healthcare leadership and her deep roots in the Cuba-Rushford area ensure that patient care is managed with both expertise and a neighborly touch.

William Robinson, Nursing Home Administrator: Taking the lead of the Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), Bill brings a service-minded approach to resident care. His focus is on creating a dignified, respectful environment where residents and their families feel truly at home.

New Perspectives on the Board of Directors
CMH is also pleased to welcome two distinguished new members to its Board of Directors, whose diverse backgrounds will help navigate the evolving healthcare landscape:

Jeffrey S. Allen, DHSc, MPA: As the Chair of the Department of Public Health at St. Bonaventure University, Dr. Allen bridges the gap between healthcare education and community wellness. “I’m thrilled to extend my service to the community by joining the Board of Trustees at Cuba Memorial and look forward to the next century of excellence at CMH”, said Allen.

Melissa A. Pingitore: Bringing a wealth of experience in operations, human resources, and strategic management, Mrs. Pingitore currently serves as Assistant Director of the Allegany County Industrial Development Agency (ACIDA). “I am truly honored to join the Board of Directors at Cuba Memorial Hospital,” said Pingitore. “I am eager to leverage my experience in operational and strategic oversight to ensure we remain a strong, innovative provider.

The hospital also extends its deepest gratitude to its returning board members. Their steady hand and historical knowledge provide the foundation upon which this new growth is built.

Comprehensive Care for the County
As Cuba Memorial Hospital evolves, it remains a vital hub for essential medical services. The community can continue to rely on CMH for:

Urgent Care: Rapid, professional response when you need it most.

Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF): High-level, compassionate long-term care.

Laboratory Services: Convenient, state-of-the-art diagnostic testing close to home.

Acute Care: Intensive, specialized medical attention for complex health needs.

Sub-Acute Rehabilitation: Targeted, physician-led recovery to help you transition back to daily life.

Diagnostic Radiology and Ultrasound: Precise, non-invasive imaging for clear and timely results.

Physical, Occupational, and Speech-Language Therapy: Holistic, expert-led programs designed to restore your independence and strength.

Looking Forward: A Century of Service
This year, Cuba Memorial Hospital celebrates over 100 years of service. To honor this incredible milestone, the hospital is planning a community-wide celebration, with details to be released soon.

Additionally, in its ongoing mission to promote proactive health, CMH will soon announce an upcoming Community Wellness Fair, providing resources and education to help residents live their healthiest lives.

“We are honoring our past while aggressively building our future,” concludes CEO Robin Gach. “The best is yet to come for Cuba Memorial.”
