81 years ago today, a group of brave individuals raised a flag on a distant island, creating an image of resilience that would define a generation. Fleet Admiral Chester Nimitz famously noted that on Iwo Jima, "uncommon valor was a common virtue."
At Tails of Valor, we ensure that this uncommon valor is never forgotten.
Through our Journey With a Purpose program, every service dog we train is named in honor of a fallen hero. This isn't just a tradition - it’s a living tribute. As these puppies grow and learn over their 1.5-year training period, they carry the name and the legacy of a soldier into their new mission: providing life-changing support to a veteran navigating PTSI.
The Journey Continues:
Honor: We document each dog’s story to keep the memory of our fallen heroes alive.
Healing: Our dogs are matched with veterans at critical points, fostering post-traumatic growth and a renewed sense of purpose.
Community: From our 19-acre campus in Bucks County to the veterans we serve, we are dedicated to transforming a legacy of sacrifice into a future of hope.
Today, we look back at Iwo Jima with gratitude and look forward with a commitment to serve those who served us.
