National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week (NPSTW), observed during the second week of April, celebrates the dedication of 911 dispatchers who are essential to public safety. In 2026, NPSTW will take place from April 12 to 18. This week highlights the vital role of 911 dispatchers as the first responders in crisis situations. At the Culpeper County Emergency Communications Center, we honor our committed dispatchers, whose professionalism, compassion, and focus make a difference with every call. During urgent moments, they collect important information, make quick decisions, and ensure that help arrives promptly. Their dedication is evident in every response and every life they touch. We deeply appreciate our partners at the Emergency Communications Center for their steadfast service to the community. Today, the Culpeper County Volunteer Fire & Rescue Association delivered cookies to all dispatchers, expressing gratitude for their work.
We would also like to express our gratitude to Sprinkle Pops & Treats for making decorated festive cookies in celebration of Telecommunicators Week.
