When something is your calling, it will keep calling, again and again. I have always believed this to be true.

When we slow down and quiet the noise of the mind, we begin to hear what has been speaking to us all along. That is when the dots begin to connect, revealing how life has been guiding us all our lives. The things that ignite your spirit, the curiosities that tug at your heart, are never coincidences. They are breadcrumbs leading you back to yourself.

Reiki has a mysterious way of finding us exactly when we need it most. A higher intelligence knows far more than we ever could and always orchestrates the perfect timing. Sometimes it calls when we are ready to remember who we truly are, and to unlearn the stories the world told us we must be. It finds us in moments when our hearts break open, when surrender becomes the only path forward. It comes to us when we are ready to see beyond the surface, ready to embrace the gifts that have been waiting within us all along.

With deep gratitude, thank you to the 11 beautiful souls who joined the Reiki Mastership this past weekend. Thank you for taking the time to go within, to listen, to come home to yourself, to hold space for one another, and to nurture your gifts, gifts meant to ripple outward and touch the world. The world feels your light, and it is better for it.

Ikigai is a Japanese concept that translates to “a reason for living” or “a reason to jump out of bed in the morning.”

While the original meaning can be broad, the popular Western interpretation frames it as the intersection of four areas: what you love, what you’re good at, what the world needs, and what you can be paid for. Discovering your ikigai is linked to a longer, happier, and healthier life.

Ok, time for the official birthday post for my man! You’ll probably ask to read this on my phone since you refuse to get Instagram and honestly, I love that about you.

You’re not only the most incredible boyfriend, but also an amazing son, brother, uncle, friend, and neighbor…which just shows the kind of person you are. You’re the kind of man who opens doors for strangers, looks out for your girlfriend’s friends, happily helps his mom move, and makes an effort to do things you don’t necessarily care about, simply because you know they matter to me.

About a year ago, I half-jokingly told my friends that if I were to go before you, I’d be okay with one of them dating you because you’re just that good and everyone deserves a ‘Neal’ in their life.

I thank the universe often for us finding each other, and I feel so lucky to do life with such a one-of-a-kind man. And I’m even more grateful that I found someone who loves going to bed before 10pm, waking up early to work out, and booking dinner reservations before 6pm with me ;)
