ASK & YOU SHALL RECEIVE... Last month, my office began to run very low on difficult-to-acquire sanitizing products. I blew through my supply very rapidly in the early stages of the shutdown trying to keep surfaces clean between patients. I spent hours/day scouring the internet (still waiting for shipments from 8 weeks ago) and local stores as I began to worry about my ability to remain open. Family members mailed anything they could spare from Michigan and Texas so I could continue to safely care for my patients. But it wasnβt enough.
When I put a donation sign in the waiting room, it was out of desperation. I thought Iβd get a little help from my practice members. Maybe a small bottle of hand sanitizer or a near-empty Lysol spray. I wouldnβt have cared, because I was in need. The support I actually received, vastly exceeded my expectations. The picture above was just one personβs contribution. After his adjustment, he drove to his closed, nearby βnon-essentialβ office to bring back all of the cleaning supplies he had stored. I couldnβt thank him enough. In the following weeks, numerous people answered my call for help. The donations from my Chiro Family kept this office open and safe, allowing themselves and many others to receive their acute and chronic chiropractic care.
Iβm happy to be stocked up for the immediate future and have began to redistribute some of the excess supplies to families/patients in need. Toilet paper is still out on the table for those still unable to attain it, and I encourage anyone that needs help to just ask and Iβll do everything in my power to do so.
Sorry for the long rant, but I wanted to express my appreciation for not only my patients, but the countless people out there stepping up and doing amazing things to help healthcare workers on the front lines of COVID and other essential employees that are risking exposure everyday to keep others safe and fed. Thank you for coming together. I APPRECIATE YOU!
Love,
Sean
