We welcomed the wonderful music of Ted Yoder again this month! Our residents enjoyed his great blend of covers and original music on the Hammered Dulcimer. Thank you for coming, Ted, we can't wait to see you again!

This month we celebrated National Pi Day with a pie cart! Residents and staff chose from a variety of pies and picked either cool whip or whipped cream as a topping!

Samantha Risner is our Inservice Director who teaches our CNA class. She is pictured with one of our students Andrea.

During the CNA class you will cover essential skills like taking vital signs, patient hygiene, mobility, and infection control, enabling students to pass state certification exams. The curriculum also emphasizes rehabilitation and restorative care to help patients regain independence.

Did you know that initial Care Plan meetings are held during your first week stay with us? This is for short-term and long-term residents, after that, we conduct quarterly care plans to ensure that your needs are being met and you’re receiving the best care possible.

Our Care Plans are a team effort and include: Nursing, Therapy, Social Services, Dietary, and Activities. They all get together with family and residents to make sure to meet their care needs with dignity and respect as they stay with us. Residents and/or their families can request extra care plans to address any concerns or if they have had a change in the residents status.

We would like to introduce you to our new Dietary Manager, Julie Mabus. Julie has been with us for 6 years. She has been married for 25 years and has a son and daughter.

Julie said, "My favorite thing about my job is the residents and staff that I work with. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and dog and being outdoors."

Today is World Social Worker Day! Karen Cattin has worked for Miller's for 40 years. Karen worked at our sister facility in Plymouth for 6 years as a LPN, before transferring to the Culver facility. Karen is a great advocate for all of our residents and her dedication shows everyday. Karen works hard to support both our residents and families, and is a real asset to our team. A fun fact about Karen is that in her time with Miller's she has served over three generations of families.

Thank you, Karen, for all of your hard work and the passion you bring to your job everyday.

The luck of the Irish was here this month during our leprechaun and clover hunt! 🍀🌈✨

Our staff and residents searched high and low for an elusive little leprechaun and the golden 4-leaf clover. To those lucky enough to find them first they won a gift basket full of goodies! We all has a blast hunting them down and discussing the history and myths of 4-leaf clovers!

National Cereal Day was this month and we used it as a reason to get crafty! We got together for an arts and crafts class and made DIY cereal and raisin bird feeders! The birds are loving them, along with all the other critters, too! This was great little project to help improve the lives of the animals that live around us and give us a chance to watch wildlife.
