Courtney starts most days with a bagel and ends most days roasting Ronnie for one reason or another. In between, she works tirelessly to keep our day-to-day operations running smoothly. She keeps our team focused by setting and achieving meaningful goals, communicates personally with every employee to understand and support their needs and works hard to exceed the expectations of every community we serve.
A caregiver by trade, Courtney brings a unique perspective to our work. She understands our business on a deep level, connects effortlessly with our field team and has a natural ability to support communities with understanding and care.
Over the years, she has played an absolutely vital role in keeping us afloat and successful through changing tides, whether it’s staff turnover, industry shifts, or internal growth. Her flexibility and willingness to pivot without hesitation have been key to our ability to adapt, stabilize, and move forward with confidence.
What’s even more remarkable is that when Courtney clocks out as our Director of Operations, she often heads straight to our sister business where she provides direct care to the elderly housemates who absolutely adore her. It’s a testament to her work ethic and heart, as she leads with both in every role she fills.
When I think about what makes Spectrum special, Courtney is one of the first people who comes to mind. She’s been with us, more or less, since day one, and has poured so much of herself into this business. At this point, it’s safe to say she’s more than earned the right to roast Ron as much as she wants.
I chose this photo to share because of the apple that was a gift from my former boss at the place where I worked before taking ownership of Spectrum. That job was where Courtney and I first met and worked together. When I left to start this new chapter, she came with me.
It’s a simple photo, but it represents something really special: the roots of our journey, the loyalty we’ve shared, and the trust we’ve built over time. From day one, Courtney has believed in this vision and stood beside us through every challenge and change. And that kind of loyalty? It’s rare and it means everything. 🩵
