You must pursue health FROM your identity not FOR your identity.

Too many people are making this mistake. Pursuing health for their identity. To be loved, seen a certain way, numb deeper pain. There are so many reasons.

This will always fail us.

But Jesus does not. In Christ, we are loved and receive an identity that is secure. Not bound in our performance or others opinions.

When you place your faith in Jesus Christ, you are given a completely new identity. You are now a loved son or daughter who belongs to The kingdom of God. Where we grow in learning more and more the love and grace He has for us.

True health starts here.

When anchor our days in two simple rhythms: being with Jesus and intentional movement, we build momentum with our health.

A lot of other really beneficial things happen when you're doing these two things.

You becoming more aware of His love for you, become more loving yourself, are better equipped to deal with the responsibilities of life, will sleep better, are more likely to eat better, and just feel more energized by the Spirit.

This week, keep it simple: set aside time to be with Him, and move with intention. Plan it. Prioritize it. It makes all the difference.

How can you do this?

By starting with the baseline practice for Habits 2-4 of our 7 Habits of Health:

Habit #2: Sleep Well – consistently getting sufficient, quality sleep

Baseline practice: sleep 7+ hours every night

Habit #3: Eat Clean – prioritizing nutrient dense foods 80+% of the time

Baseline practice: eat 1 clean meal every day

Habit #4: Move Often – prioritizing physically active behaviors over sedentary ones

Baseline practice: get 8,000+ steps every day

Give one or more of these a try today and ask God to help you see your body the way that He does.
