Regan Case, ACE-certified Personal Trainer Certified Personal Trainer, Lifestyle & Weight Management Consultant/Nutritionist, Various Fitness Specialties

I am an ACE-certified (American Council on Exercise) Personal Trainer passionate about helping others achieve their fitness and health goals. I have continued education in pre- and post-natal fitness, back, shoulder and knee injury rehabilitation, osteopenia and osteoporosis and am a Lifestyle & Weight Management Consultant. Working full-time as a Personal Trainer since 2005, I have been fortunate enough to grow my clientele strictly by word-of-mouth, and work with several doctors in the north Atlanta metro area. In 2007, I co-founded and opened a Personal Training Studio in Alpharetta, GA that is still in operation (now named Emery Fit, previously named Studio One to One). I write health and fitness articles regularly for local newsletters, magazines, am a paid contributor to Livestrong.com, eHow.com, and am a Strength Training expert on Allexperts.com. Through my years of training, I have worked with men and women aged 15-80, all with various fitness goals. I take pride in staying abreast of the latest fitness techniques and have been professionally educated using the TRX Suspension Trainer, Kettlebells, Bosu balance trainer, WaterRower, HIIT and plyometric training, cardiovascular training as well as traditional weight training. I am a Knee Injury Specialist through the American Council on Exercise. I am CRP & AED certified by the American Heart Association. I currently train clients in my home gym in Cumming, GA, but also mentor and refer business to several area trainers with much more availability than myself.

I hear sooo many clients talk about a weight goal. The doctor tells you your BMI is obese or close to it. So you need to lose X amount of pounds to be heathy.

Here I am at borderline “overweight” and a size 2-4, maybe a 6 in some clothing. I have been borderline obese in my adult years as well. The BMI chart wants me to lose 10-20 pounds to be ‘healthy’.

Body composition is most important. We all need to focus on building and maintaining muscle as we age, and eating properly. I can help with both!

Last CEC for the year: I will now be a Fitness Nutrition Specialist! Yes, it’s a layer on top of a Nutritionist.

See y’all after sitting in front of a computer for about 20 hours.

YES!!!

YES!!!

Groundbreaking research analyzing 97 reviews of over 1,000 clinical trials with 128,119 participants found that exercise works as well as - and sometimes better than - antidepressants and therapy for treating depression and anxiety.

The study showed that ALL types of physical activity help mental health: strength training, aerobic exercise like running or cycling, yoga, and even walking. The harder you work out, the more benefits you tend to see.

Whether it’s a gym session, yoga class, or daily walk, movement is powerful medicine for your mind. The best exercise is the one you’ll actually do - so find what works for you and start moving!

This client in her mid-60’s was referred to me just a few weeks ago with osteoporosis and a frozen shoulder. Look at her go this morning! 💪🙌 She’s so strong and determined. Just needed to know she wasn’t going to get hurt with a trainer. Way to go, Tina!

This was really good and easy to throw in a slow cooker for a busy day to feed a lot of people. Recipe in the comments, I added fresh poblanos from my garden with the other veggies.

Things that make you go HMMMMMM...

Your 70-year-old self is being shaped by what you do today. Every meal you eat, every hour of sleep you get, every step you take (or don’t take) is either building resilience or creating vulnerability in your future body.

In functional medicine, we see this pattern constantly:
- Insulin resistance developing in the 30s sets the stage for diabetes and heart disease later
- Chronic inflammation from poor diet and stress accelerates cognitive decline
- Sedentary lifestyles and muscle loss in midlife predict frailty and falls in our 80s

But it’s never too late to change course.

Whether you’re 25 or 65, your body has an incredible capacity for healing and regeneration when you give it the right tools.

Start with the fundamentals:
✓ Eat real, whole foods that reduce inflammation
✓ Move your body daily - strength training is non-negotiable
✓ Prioritize sleep and stress management
✓ Build meaningful relationships and community
✓ Address root causes, not just symptoms

Your future self is depending on the choices you make today. What will you choose?

This is my favorite breakfast lately. Corn tortillas, a little shredded cheese, warm for few seconds, top with two scrambled eggs with lots of spinach cooked in, sliced avocado and top with fresh pico de gallo. Getting some veggies in first thing and it sticks with me for a few hours.

I am thrilled to have two wonderful trainers working alongside me, Veronica Toolan (NASM-certified Personal Trainer and AFAA Group Exercise Certified) and Laura Johnson (ACE-certified Personal Trainer). I have mentored and continue to work closely with both trainers, so I can safely and confidently refer business to these fine women knowing clients will be the best hands possible.

We look forward to helping you achieve your health and fitness goals!
