The first trimester is a critical time for both mom and baby. Early prenatal care helps monitor your health, track your baby’s development, and identify any potential concerns as soon as possible.

In our latest blog, we explain why first-trimester prenatal care matters more than ever and what every expecting mom should know during those important early weeks of pregnancy.

💡 Tuesday Tip for Expecting Parents! 🤰🤱

Wondering how long most people stay in the hospital after giving birth? It’s totally normal to ask — planning ahead can help you feel more prepared! 👶📅

🏥 Vaginal Birth:
After an uncomplicated vaginal delivery, most people go home within about 24 – 48 hours once you and your baby are doing well and your healthcare team is comfortable with your progress.

✂️ Caesarean (C-Section) Birth:
Because a C-section is a surgical procedure, the hospital stay is usually a little longer. Most people recover in the hospital for about 48 – 72 hours before heading home — this extra time gives care teams a chance to monitor healing and manage pain after surgery.

📝 Keep in mind:
• These timeframes are averages — your individual stay may be shorter or longer based on your health, how you and your baby are doing, and your care plan.

Your body goes through a lot every month — and understanding your menstrual cycle can help you stay in tune with your health. 💛
This article from Cleveland Clinic breaks it down in a simple, clear way — what’s “normal,” what changes to expect, and when to talk to your provider:
👉

Your menstrual cycle begins on the first day of your period. Your cycle prepares your body for a possible pregnancy. The average cycle lasts between 24 and 38 days.

Breast tenderness is very common and often linked to natural hormonal changes throughout your menstrual cycle. Here’s what many women experience:

🗓 Before your period (luteal phase):
Rising estrogen and progesterone can cause swelling, soreness, or a heavy feeling in the breasts. This is the most common time for tenderness.

🌸 During your period:
Discomfort usually improves as hormone levels drop, though mild tenderness can linger for a few days.

🌼 Ovulation (mid-cycle):
Some women notice mild breast sensitivity due to a temporary estrogen surge.

🤰 Other common causes:
• Hormonal birth control
• Pregnancy
• PMS
• Perimenopause
• Increased caffeine or salt intake

✨ When to call your OB-GYN:
If breast pain is severe, one-sided, persistent, or comes with a lump, ni**le discharge, or skin changes, it’s important to get checked.

💙 National Eating Disorders Awareness Week 💙

This week is a reminder that eating disorders can affect anyone — regardless of age, gender, or background. They are complex medical conditions, not choices, and recovery is possible with the right support.

Let’s use this time to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and encourage compassion — for ourselves and for others. If you or someone you love is struggling, know that help is available and you are not alone.

A little kindness, understanding, and open conversation can make a big difference. 🤍

Good reminders ❤

Early warning signs of a heart attack can start hours, days or even weeks beforehand. They’re often subtle, so they might easily fly under the radar. Although some people have no early warning signs, others do. And knowing about them can be lifesaving.

Ovarian cysts are very common and often a normal part of the menstrual cycle — but that doesn’t mean they should be ignored.

👉 An ovarian cyst is a fluid-filled sac that forms on or inside an o***y. Many cysts cause no symptoms at all and go away on their own. Others may cause:

• Pelvic or abdominal pain
• Bloating or pressure
• Pain during periods or in*******se
• Changes in menstrual cycles

Most ovarian cysts are benign (non-cancerous), but persistent pain, sudden severe discomfort, or rapid bloating should always be evaluated by a medical professional.
