I'm happy to announce the arrival of the STAAR EVO ICL (sometimes referred to as an Implantable Contact Lens) for the treatment of nearsightedness and astigmatism. This is a premium alternative to LASIK! It is also a great option for those patients who have been told they are poor candidates for LASIK or PRK due to extreme nearsightedness, thin or irregular corneas, or dry eye. After a 1-month hibernation, my team and I will be back to work tomorrow, Monday, May 4th! We are grateful for the essential healthcare workers who braved the peak of the pandemic to get the spread under control while we were forced to the sidelines. We will be instituting protocols in the office and surgery centers that will limit risk of COVID-19 exposure to patients and staff. It will not be "back to normal" anytime soon, but I expect we can provide safe and effective care during these times for those that need it. Your patience is appreciated as we constantly work to streamline and improve our protocols!
