Is your child active? If yes, we all know that comes will the potential for injury, especially in summer with water activities; pool, water slides, wakeboarding and personal watercraft.
A good question is; how would you know if their neck was injured especially if they didn’t complain of pain but yet still took a major fall or crash?
Well, just recently our research team published the first paper on hundreds of subjects documenting that neck injuries do exist in the absence of pain in children. Left undetected and unresolved, these injuries can affect their quality of life early and potentially into adulthood.
We are honored that our work was placed on the cover of a radiology journal as this area is highly understudied. While we understand the importance of this work, we hope that it is a catalyst for other studies as well. Through proper imaging and analysis, these injuries can be identified so that proper treatment can be carried out. Call us for any questions you may have.

Would you see a dentist that only looked at the front teeth? Most likely not. For that same reason we do full spine x-rays.

Think of the foundation of a house; if it is off, so are the other floors structurally. To add to that, if you have a hot water tank blow in the attic, all floors get wet. So while all areas of the spine are important, the lumbar spine is key when doing corrective care.

The side view of this patient clearly shows a loss of curve in the lumbar spine causing nerve pressure to where the patient hasn't walked normally for nearly a decade. Almost no muscle strength in the foot.

By focusing on the right area, we were able to achieve these amazing results with 100% recovery of strength, and no back pain.
