Things Our Eyes Love (Promote Comfort and Health)
Natural Daylight: 🌤️Exposure to natural light helps regulate circadian rhythms and reduces the progression of myopia (nearsightedness) in children.
The 20-20-20 Rule: 💻Taking breaks every 20 minutes, looking at something 20 feet away for at least 20 seconds, helps reduce digital eye strain.
Proper Lighting: 💡Reading or working in well-lit environments reduces strain compared to dim, high-contrast conditions.
Blinking: 👁️👁️Conscious or unconscious blinking lubricates the eyes, preventing dryness, particularly when looking at screens.
Hydration & Nutrition: 💦Drinking enough water and eating foods rich in vitamins A, C, E, and Omega-3 fatty acids 🐟(like leafy greens and fish) supports ocular health.
Protective 🕶️Sunglasses: UV-blocking sunglasses prevent long-term damage from sunlight, such as cataracts and macular degeneration.
Things Our Eyes Hate (Cause Strain and Damage)
Excessive Screen Time: 📲Prolonged staring at phones, computers, and tablets leads to dry eye, headaches, and computer vision syndrome.
