MV Leo Club Leo Club is a branch of the world-famous Lions Club international organization and is currently the L Leo club prides itself in holding true to its philosophy.

Leo Club is a branch of the world-famous Lions Club international organization. The international club is currently the largest service organization in the world boasting over 1.4 MILLION MEMBERS worldwide. Currently, Lions Club International is in over 206 countries. Although a relatively new branch of organization, through the guidance of so many helpful Lions Clubs around the globe, Leo Club is now at over 144,000 members internationally. Just like Lions Club International, the Leo organization is dedicated towards helping the local community, as well as making an impact on a global scale. Both Leos and Lions have led numerous projects ranging from simple tree planting in the community to fundraising enough money for funding laser eye surgery in a third world country to cure eye-related disease problems that tribes in the country face. Their name comes from an acronym that doubles as the organization's motto. The Leo club motto is:

Leadership - Leos develop skills as organizers, time managers and motivators of their peers. Experience - Leos learn the importance of cooperation through community service. Opportunity - Membership provides young people with a chance to excel, to develop positive character traits, and to receive recognition for their contributions to the community. Hey Leos!

If you want to get a headstart on hours or simply want a fun way to spend a part of your summer, be sure to volunteer for the De Anza Lions Annual Charity Golf Tournament on our website: mvleo.org

This year's De Anza Lions Annual Charity Golf Tournament will be held on Saturday, June 16 again at the Course at Moffett Field in Sunnyvale. There will be two shifts: 15 volunteers for the 8:30 - 11:30 am shift and 6 volunteers for the 3:30 - 7:00 pm shift. We highly recommend signing up as it's one of the three major annual Lions events, and it's just a pretty fun experience in general; you'll get to witness some solid golf skills too. Again, please sign up and ask your friends to join, as we need all the help we can get for this tournament especially cuz it's such a major event!

Happy volunteering!
