Relationships—whether with partners, friends, coworkers, or family—should feel safe and balanced.
🔴 Red Flag: Feeling responsible for someone else’s emotions.
It’s not your job to manage another adult’s moods, reactions, or happiness. Supporting someone is healthy. Carrying their emotional responsibility is not.
🟢 Green Flag: Being able to express your needs safely.
Healthy relationships make space for honesty. You can say, “I need…” or “That hurt my feelings,” without fear of anger, guilt, or punishment.
The goal isn’t perfection—it’s mutual respect, emotional safety, and shared responsibility.
