Lady of the Sea is proud to participate in the Well-Ahead Louisiana Rural Health Scholars Program through the Louisiana Department of Health. "We have a long tradition of giving back to our rural community along with our partners in the healthcare field and try to accommodate as many Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant and Medical students as possible in our two Rural Health Clinic locations," said Tad Lafont, Chief Clinic Officer at LOSGH. "In June 2022, Caroline Hanks, Physician Assistant student from Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University, was assigned to the Lady of the Sea Medical Clinic – Larose location under the supervision of Dr. Amanda Rogers, one of our Family Medicine physicians. Caroline came to us well-prepared and fit in quickly with the busy daily routine of our rural location. We are happy to be an integral part of her journey to become a Physician Assistant and look forward to partnering with the Rural Health Scholars Program in the future to assist others in their journey into healthcare as well."
