During Black History Month, we recognize the many Black leaders who have advanced civil rights and expanded inclusion in all its forms. One such leader is Brad Lomax, a disability rights activist who helped secure landmark protections for people with disabilities through his advocacy during the 1977 Section 504 Sit-In.
His work reminds us that the fight for equity and inclusion has always been interconnected, and that progress happens when voices from different communities come together to demand access, dignity, and opportunity for all.
