Don’t miss this upcoming Community Forum!

THIS THURSDAY 11/20 🚨 The Akron Urban League and our Department of Job and Family Services are partnering to host a community forum addressing recent and upcoming changes to several state and federal programs, including SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) and Medicaid.

📅 Thursday, Nov. 20
⏰ 5:30–7:00 PM

These changes have raised questions and concerns for many Summit County residents. Representatives from DJFS will share updates, explain how the changes may affect residents, and offer practical guidance for navigating benefits and services.

This week's Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank Pop Up Pantry at Summit DD's Cuyahoga Falls office was able to feed over 700 people! Great job everyone. The Pop Up Pantry will be back on December 18!

Don’t forget Summit DD’s Cuyahoga Falls Administrative Building will host the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank Pop-Up Pantry, open to community members and those we serve. Two upcoming dates are available:

November 12, 2025 from 1:00 – 3:00 pm
December 18, 2025 from 1:00 – 3:00 pm

Both dates will be drive-through style, where individuals will remain in their vehicle and pull through the parking lot to receive their food assistance.

As part of our ongoing commitment to the community, Summit DD is rallying around efforts to address food insecurity resulting from the SNAP disruption.

Summit DD’s Cuyahoga Falls Administrative Building will host the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank Pop-Up Pantry, open to community members and those we serve. Two upcoming dates are available:

November 12, 2025 from 1:00 – 3:00 pm
December 18, 2025 from 1:00 – 3:00 pm
