Stanley A. “Butch” Houston, Jr., 85, passed away Monday, March 23, 2026 at CHI St. Joseph Hospital.

He was born March 12, 1941 in Cynthiana to the late Stanley Ammerman Houston, Sr. & Lillian Montgomery Houston. Also preceding him in death were his beloved sister, Sara Frances Houston Marshall, Richmond, KY and an infant son, Stanley A. Houston, III.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Norma Wheeler Houston; son Steven W. Houston; daughter, Karen R. (Aaron) Boggs; and nieces, Kimberly Wilson and Whitney Cox.

Butch graduated from Cynthiana High School in 1959 and attended Eastern Kentucky University. He proudly served in the Army 1963-1965. He was an IBM retiree, a farm owner and an usher at First Methodist Church in Cynthiana for over 60 years.

Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, March 30th at First Methodist Church of Cynthiana by Dr. Ted Beam. Burial with military honors will follow in Battle Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10:30 A.M. Monday until the time of service.
