Nathan Driskell: Autism & Internet Addiction Specialist

Nathan Driskell: Autism & Internet Addiction Specialist Therapist in Texas specializing in High Functioning Autism & Internet Addiction. Hello and welcome. Both books are available on Amazon in E-Book or Paperback.

I am a therapist in the Cypress / Houston Texas area specializing in the treatment of Internet Addiction and High Functioning Autism. My entrance into mental health began when I was in High School when I become addicted to an online game. I spent the next six years of my life within the game, often 12-15 hours a day. After working through my addiction alone, I decided I wanted to become a therapist who specialized in treating Internet Addiction. In my practice, I work with Clients to understand what they gain from their addiction so that they can find alternatives. Internet addiction can take many forms, from gaming to social media, to po*******hy. While working with Internet addicts, I look to find the causes of the addiction, while at the same time developing other coping skills and finding motivation for the future. I also specialize in treating High Functioning Autism, where I teach social skills, dealing with overstimulation and sensory issues, managing anxiety, and anger management techniques. Many of my Clients with Autism are obsessed or addicted to the Internet, where I help them combat the addiction while learning how to manage their autistic symptoms while using their strengths. I have written two books, both self-help type books designed to help combat addiction to the Internet and Electronics. The first, Internet Addiction: Kicking the Habit, is for individuals who want to overcome their addiction to the Internet. The other, Is Your Child Addicted to Electronics, is for parents whose child is addicted to electronics, which focuses on alternatives to electronics and repairing the family. I am also a Supervisor and am licensed by the state of Texas to provide Supervision for new therapists. My supervision focuses on ethics, HIPAA compliance, and designing a future private practice. I am also a public speaker and have spoken at over 80 different organizations, including the FBI. If you have any questions, feel free to e-mail or call me. I often respond in less than 24 hours. Thank you and God bless.
