🌟 Great news from Ushio Inc.!
On July 28, 2025, Ushio signed an agreement to acquire ams-OSRAM’s Industrial & Entertainment lamps business-bringing in approximately ¥28.8 billion in 2024 sales and about 500 global employees to the Ushio Group.
The deal, expected to close by March 2026, is a strategic part of Ushio’s Revive Vision 2030, reinforcing its semiconductor light‐source platform.
This acquisition aims to combine advanced lamp design, proprietary patents, and manufacturing expertise to expand market opportunities and improve operational efficiency. Ushio expects strong returns-well above 10% ROIC-as it pursues a target ROE of 12%+.
