As of today, April 1, our contract with Blue Cross Blue Shield is suspended. We are confident negotiations will resolve this issue soon.
We are so sorry for this inconvenience for any of our patients with BCBS insurance.

My kid has Flu symptoms…Do I have to come see you in the office?

Most kids will do fine with fluids and rest. Antivirals can help reduce their symptoms and length of illness if started early into their symptoms. We do need to see them to prescribe this medicine. Many times we find kids have other issues or illnesses besides the flu.

We definitely need to see them if:

• Has an underlying health problem like asthma, a heart condition, diabetes, sickle cell disease, a weakened immune system, a neuromuscular condition such as cerebral palsy, or any other medical condition that make them high-risk for severe flu complications.

• Is younger than 5 years old, and especially if they’re younger than 2.

• Has symptoms that are not improving.
