🌷🐣 Happy Easter from The Homestead Assisted Living Community! 🐰🌸

What a beautiful day filled with laughter, joy, and sweet memories here at The Homestead! Our residents had an egg-stra special time celebrating with an Easter egg hunt, getting creative while dying colorful eggs, and sharing smiles all around. 💛🥚

We were also thrilled to welcome a very special guest—the Easter Bunny himself! 🐇 He made his rounds spreading cheer, posing for photos, and bringing out the kid-at-heart in all of us.

Moments like these are what make our community feel like home. Thank you to everyone who helped make this day so special, and to our wonderful residents for making every celebration so meaningful.

Yesterday, our residents gathered to watch the historic launch of Artemis II 🚀—a mission set to carry astronauts on a 10-day journey around the Moon and back.

As the rocket lifted off, it sparked powerful memories for many who vividly recalled watching the first moon landing decades ago. Stories were shared, laughter filled the room, and nostalgia was truly in the air.

From witnessing history then to experiencing it again now, it was a special moment of connection and wonder here at The Homestead. 🌙✨

We had an incredible time at Taste of South Mississippi last week! 🍽️

A huge shoutout to our very own Chef Leo — a past winner and always a crowd favorite — for once again representing The Homestead with excellence! 👨‍🍳🔥 His passion, talent, and heart truly shine through in every dish he creates, and we couldn’t be more proud of him and his amazing team.

This event, hosted by Kroc Center MS Gulf Coast, is such an amazing cause. Taste of South Mississippi brings together some of the best restaurants across all six counties for a night of great food, live entertainment, and community — all while raising funds that stay right here at home. These proceeds help support Kroc Center programs and scholarships, giving children and families access to sports, arts, camps, and so much more, regardless of their ability to pay.

We love being part of something bigger and supporting organizations that truly make a difference in our community. 💙

🩸 Successful Blood Drive! 🩸

We are so grateful for an incredible turnout at our recent blood drive with Deaconess Health! A total of 30 people showed up, and because of your generosity, we were able to collect 23 units of blood—that’s potentially saving dozens of lives in our community.

A huge thank you to everyone who took the time to donate and make a difference, and to the American Red Cross of Mississippi for all they do every day to support local hospitals and patients in need.
