🚨Scheduled Power Outage 9/25 🚨 The City of D'iberville has made us aware of a scheduled power outage for W Gay Rd on Thursday, September 25th from 8a-12p. Our entire facility runs on backup generator. Please note, there MAY BE phone and internet disruptions due to the backup generator usage.

🌺 ALOHA from Greenbriar 🌺

This week, we invited friends and family to join us for our annual Luau. A tradition of island music, tropical inspired food, and so much fun!

For National Oyster Shell Day, our residents painted oyster shells. Oysters are a staple part of the seafood industry of South Mississippi. We also used this craft to engage our residents in reminiscing about growing up "oystering', and how this unsuspecting mollusks have shaped so many of our lives! 🐚

We are proud to share our latest CMS Star Rating! Our staff works every day to provide high-quality, patient-centered care to our residents. Nursing homes are rated by CMS ranging from 1-5 stars. This star rating summarizes the nursing home's overall quality based on 3 key areas: health inspections, staffing levels, and quality measures.

This rating is shared by only 4 other facilities in South Mississippi - including our Sister Facility Gardens Nursing Center

🌟 Suggested Donation: $10 — All proceeds go straight to our Activities Department to help us bring even more JOY and SMILES to our amazing residents. 🧡

We are thrilled to announce our 2025 Employee of the Year, Cathy! Each year during Nursing Home Week, we recognize and select our Employee of the Year. This award is given to a staff member who really embodies the mission and values of Greenbriar Nursing Center, and is chosen from the prior year’s Employee of the Month Recipients.

Cathy is a longtime employee of Greenbriar. Once retired, then back for more, she has worked in the Dietary Department as a Certified Dietary Manager for a combined 11 years. Cathy works tirelessly to ensure our residents receive delicious meals every day. Her favorite part of her job is getting to cook and bake for the residents. In her free time, Cathy enjoys needlepoint, family time, and gardening.

Nutrition is an important part of our resident’s overall wellbeing. Cathy’s dedication is exactly why she was chosen for Employee of the Year! During our annual company picnic, we presented Cathy with her award and a gift basket full of her favorite things! We are so thankful to have you on our staff, Cathy!
