We had a great morning at the Ottawa Board of Trade Mayor’s Breakfast yesterday, featuring Prime Minister Mark Carney. With over 1,100 people from across Ottawa’s business community, it was an energizing conversation about the future of our city.

Our Funeral Director/Embalmer, Emily McDonald, recently participated in Ottawa Technical Secondary School’s Human Library, a twice-yearly event where students “borrow” people instead of books to learn about unique careers and life experiences.
This year, students specifically requested someone from our profession, and Emily shared the parts of her life and career that make her journey so unique — sparking curiosity and meaningful conversation.
We’re so proud of Emily for representing our industry with compassion, professionalism, and openness. Moments like these show just how important it is to educate, connect, and inspire the next generation. ✨
