: Halfway through the month of April, and we have a full slate of awesome things happening heading into . First things first, for the rest of April, Flexin Fit with Franchesca will now be on both Tuesdays AND Thursdays at 5:15PM. So, if you're looking to get in some post-work/school stretches and a low-impact workout, come on by.

For , we'll be debuting three new mocktails in our cafe that'll be available all weekend long. The spring flavors consist of Southern Hospitality (Strawberry, Peach, Mango & Pineapple), Springtide Passion (Hibiscus, Passionfruit, Orange Peel, and Coconut), and CranCherry Apple Palmer (Cranberry, Cherry, Apple, Black Tea & Lemonade with a splash of Club Soda)

Also, we'll be having our market friends x x .candle.co2 having pop-ups on our patio and in our yoga studio throughout the weekend. So, if you missed out on them during last month's Maker's Market, here's your chance to come by and check their latest goods.

Downstairs, we're kicking it off with our monthly on Friday, 4/17 that's open to all musicians, comedians, poets & spoken word artists. Sign-ups are available now on our website, and walk-ins are always welcome. On Saturday, 4/18, will be gracing our speakeasy stage with his North Georgia Folk vibes for the first time. And rounding out the weekend, we have our coffee cupping series on Sunday, 4/19 featuring our caffeinated friends in . It's free with RSVP on our website.

: Don't let the April showers get you down. We have all the hot drinks and delectable baked goods to bring the cozy vibes as we are well into the Spring season. We'll start off the month of April proper with making their CNPY debut on Sat. 4/11 alongside . Tickets are available now on our website.

And before we really get knee deep into the month, we want to shout-out and highlight the happenings of the last weekend of March. It kicked off with the second installment of our series featuring , followed by the .comedy collective bringing the laughs in front of a packed house, Memphis-based trio brought the post-punk vibes to our stage, and wrapping things up was the of our Makers Market featuring vendors .plant.medicine x x x x x x .candle.co2 & performances by .saulsbury & Lala & the Ya-Yas. Thanks to everyone who came through to support these events as well as for having us house your social event. More things are coming, as the annual Bear on the Square is happening next week, so stay tuned!!

: The Spring Equinox is in full effect and right on time, the Sun is out and the flowers are in full bloom. And we have quite the stack of happenings to help close out March. First things first, the latest offerings from our cottage market consist of Double Chocolate & Banana Muffins, Chocolate Chip and Cacao Stuffed Matcha Strawberry Cookies from (all gluten-free, by the way), and fresh from we have Cheddar Dill, Jalapeño, & Pepperoni Sourdough loaves alongside Lemon Poppyseed, Apple Cinnamon, & Chocolate Chip Strawberry Sourdough Scones.

Heading into this week, we have the second installment of our on Thursday, 3/26 featuring & delivered by our good friends Nuria & Lester of the Dahlonega Village UPS Store as part of CNPY's Sponsorship Program, the collective brings back their monthly showcase on Friday, 3/27 featuring comedians from all over the Peach State, Memphis-based will be bringing their post-punk vibes to our stage on Saturday, 3/28, and closing out the weekend is our Spring Edition of the featuring a curated showcase of independent businesses & live music from .saulsbury and Lala & the Ya-Yas. : Halfway through the month of March and we're feeling a little bit green this week. Whether you're celebrating St. Patrick's Day or just love the signature color of THE Kermit the Frog, we have a little bit of happening with the likes of our Strawberry Matcha from our Spring Menu, the Matcha White Chocolate Chip Sourdough Scones from , & Dipped Cacao Berry Matcha Cookies from . All are available now alongside the rest of our Spring Menu and Cottage Market options.

Coming up this week, we have our Third Space Edition happening on Thursday, 3/19 at 6PM. We're opening our speakeasy downstairs for students & professionals to work on their projects on a weeknight, offering a change of scenery from dorms or offices when other places may be closed. We aim to have this be an ongoing series to give people that Third Space option in our unique space. This month's is set for Friday, 3/20 & open to all musicians, comedians, & poets/spoken word artists. Sign-up is available on our website; walk-ins are welcome as well. And, the Cosmic Americana Duo is returning to the Gold City on Saturday, 3/21. They were out of this world when they came to CNPY last year, & they intend to bring that same energy to our speakeasy. Major thanks to everyone who came out for the Dahlonega Literary Festival & the Author Book Signing with us & earlier this month as well as special shout-outs to Kelly & her crew who boogied with us for a bit at our Dance Party as part of their weekend trip down from Nashville.

While we pride ourselves on being a coffee shop, a yoga studio, & a speakeasy, we strive to be a safe haven for creativity, authenticity, & community for ALL. : We are officially in the month of March, which means Spring is upon us with the daylight being out a little bit longer and the flowers starting to bloom. (Don't forget to "spring" your clocks forward this weekend. And speaking of bloom, our bouquet of speciality drinks in the form of our Spring menu is blooming, kicking off with our Orange Blossom Latte. Stop by to try for yourself and treat yourself with the latest offerings from x , which include: Chocolate Chip, Cranberry Walnut, and Maple Pecan Sourdough Loaves, Lemon Poppy, Chocolate Chip, & Blueberry Lemon Sourdough Scones, and Wild Blueberry Oat, Pumpkin Spice, and Cocoa Zucchini Muffins. Treat yourself before they are gone as we have a weekend of storytelling and dancing coming your way.

The of dance party is happening tonight (Friday, 3/6) at 8pm. So, be sure to bring your best shoes to bust a move. And on Saturday, 3/7, will host this year's Dahlonega Literary Festival. The day-long event features panels and presentations from 17 literary favorites both old and new. And you'll be able to meet, greet, and buy the authors' works in our yoga studio throughout the day. Want to give special shout-outs to the trifecta of the .music trio for the debut installment of our (special shout-outs to for the St. Patty's themed charcuterie & snack to-go boxes) on Thursday x the .comedy collective on Friday x & the tandem of & .music on Saturday. They all helped wrap up and put a golden bow on top of a beautiful weekend & month of celebrating our sixth . Also, it was so lovely to see so many new faces supporting the talent in our speakeasy downstairs and enjoying our caffeinated (and non-caffeinated) concoctions and treats upstairs. : We're nearing the end of February which means we're closing in on all of our festivities. But, best believe we're ending it with a golden exclamation point.

First things first, CNPY's Cottage Market is fully restocked with new offerings from & ranging from chocolate chip & apple cinnamon sourdough scones to red velvet muffins & gluten free dark chocolate chunk cookies & more. Best to treat yourself with a sweet treat from them the next time you come in before they get gone.

Secondly, we're kicking off our trilogy of speakeasy goodness on Thursday, 2/26 with the inaugural iteration of our series. Jazz comes in many different flavors and vibes and on every last Thursday of the month, we'll be able to showcase those layers downstairs with the .music trio laying down the jazzy foundation. will also be in the building with her beautiful & delicious charcuterie to-go boxes for you to indulge while you listen.

Next up, .comedy brings the jokes & laughter on Friday, 2/27 with their monthly showcase featuring comedians from all over the Peach State. And rounding it out, Megan P. () will be back with her Functional Movement on Saturday, 2/28 in the morning and we have the tandem of & .music both making their CNPY debut on Saturday night. Every successful artist has started in spaces like ours, & it's important to us that we provide that launching pad for any and all emerging creative.

And speaking of, major Love to Cindy, Terry, Denise, and Andrew of for gracing the stage during this month's as well as & for bringing that extra bit of funk to close out last weekend. Some people say, ‘I dont like Jazz’…but then they hear an artist whose talent bends their ears in a fresh way. They are suddenly opened and alive to discovering the sounds of a new favorite. 🎶

TOMORROW night will be the first in our new series at Canopy + the Roots, “Low Light Jazz Night”. The series will run on the last Thursday of each month through June. For our first show, we are presenting Tyler Howell (saxophonist) and his trio. Tyler is a professional musician who graduated from the University of North Georgia.

Show begins at 7:30PM. Charcuterie boxes available from . VIP tables, couches and booths can be reserved by emailing events@canopyandtheroots.com

Y’all come out and support both the artists and this small independent venue. There is no other space like ours, and we are grateful for our village and guests!
