Welcome to the 3rd Edition of our Mindfull Mycology memo, delivered from our farm and lab to your inbox once each month.

As we welcome the changing of the seasons – and clocks – to our farm, we’re simultaneously welcoming big changes to our operations, too.

Our new extraction equipment is undergoing the final tests, trials and tinkerings before being put into full-fledged production mode by the end of the year. Our new labels are in their final design proofs. Our extraction lab’s renovation is near completion. And our weekends are three farmers markets – the final Saturday Roswell Farmers Market is Nov. 22 – away from being footloose and fancy free again until next Spring.

As we prepare to expand and extend our offerings in 2026, we spent October and will continue spending the final weeks of 2025 as we have spent most of the year: building, rebuilding and systematizing our back end production, extraction and fulfillment systems. It isn’t forward facing or “sexy” work but it's the foundation upon which the next few years of Mindfull Mycology will be built.

Otherwise, take a glimpse at the attached photos to see our current batch of Cordyceps and Reishi mushrooms growing in the barn, our new extraction equipment set up in the lab, and a sneak peek at the new labels that will be gracing your bottles shortly.

A Mindfull Morning to You,

Welcome to Edition #1 of what I hope will become a monthly missive detailing the happenings at Mindfull Mycology HQ! Suffice to say, I’m starting off our newsletter with a bang because August was quite the eventful month!

Aside from continuing to build out a new and improved system for the bulk cultivation of Cordyceps mushrooms, I spent much of August spreading Mindfull Mycology’s wings. For two weeks, I road tripped to Telluride, Colorado with my best friend, Jasper – who runs The Fungi Academy— for the Telluride Mushroom Festival, America’s oldest and most famous mushroom festival.

Alongside Jasper, who gave two presentations at this year’s festival, I met a lot of my myco-heroes including Paul Stamets, Dennis McKenna, Louie Schwartzberg (director of Fantastic Fungi), William Padilla-Brown, Tradd Cotter and Giuliana Furci, among many others. I also had the chance to hang out with the founders of two of the largest medicinal mushroom supplement companies in the states, Mushroom Revival and Malama Mushrooms, and to tour the facilities of another medicinal mushroom farm and extraction company, MycoLove Farms, based just outside Boulder, Co. It was a very inspiring, enlightening, and educational month that left me energized and confident about where to take Mindfull Mycology next.

As Mindfull Mycology continues to grow, I have become very focused on ensuring our processes and products also continue to grow and improve. The construction of Mindfull Mycology 2.0, as I’ve been calling it, is well underway. New bottles, new labels, new packaging, new extraction processes, new cultivation processes, a new website… It is a massive undertaking but one I am extremely grateful to be able to pursue.

In the coming months, you can expect to experience the new bottles, labels, and packaging each time an order lands at your doorstep. This fall and winter, we will finish R&D of our new and much improved extraction processes, and improve our website to make it more user-friendly for both you on the front end and me on the back end.

At the Telluride Mushroom Festival, I brought a box of our extracts and thoroughly enjoyed handing out samples. During the 5-day event, multiple people told us it was the best extract they’d ever tried. This is my guiding light. This is why I do what I do. I will not stand pat and rest on my laurels. I will continue to improve and innovate. I am in this for the long haul.

A little throwback to our Medicinal Mushroom presentation at the Dancing Tree Festival in Blue Ridge, Ga. this June.

We'll be presenting on the same topic at the Butterfly Garden in Dahlonega on Sept. 20th & 21st, as well as at the Gulf Coast Fungi Festival in Fairhope, Ala. on October 18th.

The Shroom Barn is Complete! 🍄🥳

After months of blood, sweat, and tears (literally!!), the Great Barn Build of 2025 is complete. We actually finished up in April, but staying on top of social media isn't really our strong suit...growing and extracting functional mushrooms is!

The reward for all our toil? 4 rooms, 400 square feet of mushroom heaven, and the most beautiful grow room a mushroom nerd can dream up.

Thank you to everyone who had a hand in this project, big or small, but most especially my wife, Sophie, and my Dad, Mark.

For months, my life was consumed by this project, and I carried a heavy burden on my shoulders to push this thing to completion. I'm extremely grateful for those who stepped up and helped shoulder a bit of the weight for me when it became too much to carry myself.

I started this business with just $2,000 and the goal of making the most potent, sustainable, and transparently produced functional mushroom extracts in the game. No loans, no grants, no investors, just patience, persistence, resilience, and grit.

Though this project is complete, there's always room for improvement. I have no plans of stopping our pursuit of excellence, wherever it may lead.

But now, I'm putting down the drill and saw and putting my lab coat back on (a video tour of our extraction lab is in the works next).

Expect new products and improvements to our current products, as well as better bottles, labels, website shop experience, and, well, practically everything else.

Mindfull Mycology 2.0 is already underway and I have you, my loyal customers and supporters, to thank. None of this is possible without you. THANK YOU!!
