The beginning of the River’s Edge Optical story is an unusual one. Although practically perched on the banks of the Missouri River, that’s not exactly where the name originated.
After founding Dunes Eye Consultants in 2003, we were looking for an appropriate name for our optical center. That was also the year when I started what’s become a favorite hobby – fly fishing. Visiting Bozeman, Montana with my brother, he took me to a fly fishing shop called The River’s Edge where I could pick up my license and gear-up for the fishing trip.
The shop was exactly what a fly fisherman would love, with a well-chosen inventory that catered to its customers, providing not only exactly what they needed, but exactly what they wanted. The selection, quality and brands were impressive, but what stuck in my memory was the service. A phenomenal team outfitted us. They were experts on the equipment, even offering tips where to land the best trout.
After returning home, I was on the 17th green at the Dunes, looking out over the river. At that moment, I decided on a name: River’s Edge Optical. Yes, we’re near the river, but the name is more of a tribute and a goal. We love our friends in Bozeman! And our goal is to provide the same exceptional, concierge-level service and extraordinary collection high-quality products.
