Did you know firefighters are at a 62% higher risk of getting esophageal cancer, and they have a 39% increased risk of dying from esophageal cancer? Hometown Health Care of NEPA is happy to assist Scranton Firefighters with their Check Your Food Tube event helping to screen more than 100 local first responders. 🚒🩺

Firefighting is a profession filled with plenty of risks; that's why firefighters in Scranton were given the opportunity to participate in preventive screenings.

Our first Mobile Mammogram event was a success! Thanks to our friends at Lackawanna Mobile X-ray, we were able to screen more than 20 women for breast cancer. Did you know that 1 in 8 women will develop breast cancer in their lifetime? Get screened today! 🩷

Our team dressed CASUAL today to show our support for Northeast Regional Cancer Institute's annual which raises awareness about the importance of screening and early detection for colon cancer 🩵💙🩵

During his Budget Address to the General Assembly, Governor Josh Shapiro gave his full support for "full practice authority to highly educated, highly qualified nurse practitioners." Our own Dr. Allyson, spoke to WNEP about what this means not only for nurse practitioners across The Commonwealth but how this will benefit constituents by improving access, streamlining care delivery, decreasing cost, and protecting patient choice.👩‍⚕️💉🩺🩹

At the 2025 Budget Proposal, Gov. Josh Shapiro announced a policy to allow nurse practitioners to not need physician supervision to practice.
