Logan Austin is our September Employee of the Month. Logan works in our Transportation Dept. and has a passion for cutting hair and guitar. He enjoys helping Steve in Maintenance and assisting residents in any way he can. Logan brightens every room he enters and both staff and the residents have learned to expect him to show up and lend a hand, no matter what the task. We are so happy to have Logan on our team!

Our August Employee of the Month Gale Taylor says “I love nursing, and I love my job!” After 18 years Gale stresses that it is her patients and her church that fuel her day to day. She has the same love and same feelings for her church activities and her work at Carrington Place. Outside of her work and church pursuits she enjoys “retail therapy” and her plants. Gale is a bright and shining presence on our staff and is universally praised by her co-workers and residents, alike.

Congratulations to our July Employee of the month, Jessy Divovic! Her bubbly personality, creativity and fun ideas are sure to make the rehab experience more enjoyable for our residents! Her care and compassion for others does not go unnoticed! Jessy is truly one of the best! In addition to being a therapist for 17 years, Jessy is also a talented baker, wife, and mom of two!

Saturday, 14 veterans were presented and honored with handmade quilts from the Quilt of Valor Foundation. We would like to thank Sirens and Salutes for nominating and Quilt of Valor for honoring our veterans in such a beautiful and sentimental way. We look forward to honoring more veterans in our next ceremony.

In addition, we have an exciting Valor Wall project in the works at Carrington! Stay tuned for more!

Residents and veterans honored Memorial Day with our local VFW and Sirens + Salutes! Friday, the VFW provided breakfast and Monday, Sirens + Salutes sponsored a service, followed by an ice cream bar enjoyed by veterans and residents! Pictured are our Veteran residents enjoying breakfast with the VFW. We are so grateful to our community who continues to show up and show out for our residents!

Congratulations to our May employee of the month, Wendy Cooper! Wendy truly goes the extra mile for our residents, always sure to leave a smile on their face! In her free time, Wendy enjoys crafting, gardening, and most of all, spending time with family and her fur baby!

Residents enjoyed celebrating Easter with Sirens and Salutes inc, who provided residents and staff with an Easter dinner on Good Friday! Veteran residents also received special care packages containing personal care items and hand written cards! We are forever grateful for the continued kindness this organization shows to our Carrington community! Have a very Happy Easter everyone! ✝️🐰🐣
