At Buckner Prosthetics our patients are our priority. That is why we take a hands-on approach to prosthetic care, with the best interest of our patients in mind. We provide quality prosthetic devices, proper-fitting sockets, and access to emerging bionic and prosthetic technologies to meet our patients’ objectives.
We believe that prosthetic care begins with socket design. Without an interface that fits well, the functionality of a prosthesis and the well-being of the patient are compromised. Therefore, we develop custom interfaces for any amputation level and type of residual limb. Buckner Prosthetics is notably one of the leading facilities in fitting below-knee and above-knee amputees. Additionally, we specialize in upper-extremity prostheses.
Our accelerated fabrication for those who travel long distances allows us to fit a prosthesis within days. We create all prosthetic limbs in our on-site fabrication labs, which enables us to ensure fast turnaround times and a high level of quality control. Our technicians utilize the latest techniques and products available to craft prosthetic devices in our state-of-the-art facilities. Buckner Prosthetics is equipped to make precise adjustments, as prosthetists and technicians have the opportunity to work together through out the duration of patient care.
Amputees need lifelong, well-rounded care, and prostheses require continual maintenance. Return visits to Buckner Prosthetics are necessary examine the fit of a socket, the functionality of a prosthesis, and the condition of a patient’s residual limb, including the skin and range of motion. We also understand that changes in overall health, activity level, and life aspirations necessitate follow-up appointments.
It is important that a prosthesis remains comfortable, with a secure fit for the amputee’s safety and success. We recommend that patients check their prostheses and residual limbs daily and that they be seen by their prosthetist at least every six months. If you have any questions or concerns about the fit and function of your prosthetic limb, contact Buckner Prosthetics today!
