Meet Mary, our newest resident at The Grove on Forest Lane. Mary is 96 years young and grew up in the restaurant business — her father owned the Majestic Steakhouse here in Dallas.

While Maribel, one of our wonderful caregivers from Cuba who has been with us for over four years, was helping Mary with her makeup this morning, the two shared stories about their lives and talked about their favorite Greek and Cuban foods.

It’s the little moments that matter. From helping with hair and makeup to getting dressed for the day, our loving caregivers help residents feel confident, cared for, and beautiful at any age — even 96. 💙

We had a wonderful time with Gene and Brenda from Garland Ministries, who brought their amazing music and heartfelt ministry to The Grove on Forest Lane. Their energy and passion for worship always brighten our community!

Our residents in memory care absolutely love these special moments together with their friends from our assisted living neighbor singing along to familiar songs, clapping, smiling, and even getting up to dance. 💃🕺 It’s a beautiful reminder that joy, faith, and music bring people together at every stage of life.

Thank you, Gene and Brenda, for sharing your gifts with us and helping our residents start the week with smiles and uplifting spirits! 💙

Happy Friday! 🎉 Janice hasn’t even been here 24 hours yet and she’s already out on the dance floor! 💃 At 86 years young and still dancing, she’s bringing wonderful energy to the community. Janice is a retired high school teacher from Arlington, TX and is our newest resident here at The Grove on Forest Lane.

Her friend Karl, who is 93, came by to visit and join in the fun. We also had the pleasure of listening to the amazing singer Robin Willis while enjoying great food and drinks. What a wonderful way to start the weekend! 😊

Our talented residents had a bright idea this week! We turned empty wine bottles into beautiful, one-of-a-kind lamps — and the results were simply stunning. 🍷➡️🕯️

With a little creativity, laughter, and teamwork, each lamp became a unique masterpiece. Activities like this remind us that creativity has no age limit and there’s always room to try something new!
