We offer STAR Medicaid and CHIP services for children, teens, pregnant women, and families. Parkland Community Health Plan is a community-based health insurance plan offering health care coverage to the communities of North Texas. Our insurance products include STAR Medicaid, CHIP and CHIP Perinatal. Our service area covers Dallas, Collin, Ellis, Hunt, Kaufman, Navarro, and Rockwall counties, where members can seek care at more than 6,000 doctors and specialists and over 40 hospitals and urgent care centers. We had a great time at Coffee with the Principal at Raul Quintanilla Middle School!
PCHP joined families in a space they already know and trust, where Esmeralda Valadez from Parkland Health shared helpful information on hygiene and sexual health, and families also connected with local vendors on mental health and dental care.

The move from elementary to middle school is a big step for students and parents, and PCHP is proud to support families through these important milestones.
We recently brought families together at AC New Middle School in Balch Springs for 5th Grade Transition Night, where parents learned what to expect, from schoolwork to helping their child adjust with confidence.

February is American Heart Month—a great reminder to take care of your heart, especially if you're expecting. A healthy heart helps keep both you and your baby well.
PCHP's STAR, CHIP, and CHIP Perinate plans include blood pressure checks at every prenatal visit. High blood pressure during pregnancy can be serious, but we're here to help.
If your blood pressure is high, our care team will work closely with your doctor to make sure you get the extra support you need.

Your PCHP membership includes access to Boys & Girls Club programs that help children grow, learn, and thrive. From sports programs to summer camps, your child can try new activities and build confidence.
Available for children ages 6-18 with STAR or CHIP coverage. CHIP Perinate members cannot use this benefit.

We had a great day at the South Dallas Cultural Center's recent Lunch & Learn! It was inspiring to see the community come together with Dr. Joy Malbrough to learn about her work in health equity.
PCHP was proud to partner with Parkland Health, Dallas County Health and Human Services , and other organizations to provide health resources and education to attendees. Events like this remind us why partnerships matter—when we work together, we create space for real connection and meaningful change.

Recovery is possible. PCHP covers substance use treatments, including counseling, medicines that help with recovery, treatment when you stay overnight, and other help services.
You don't need a referral from your primary care provider for substance use treatment.
