It’s my favorite session!🍁🍂.

Motherhood is a season all its own — and as autumn reminds us to slow down, nurture, and gather warmth 🍂, it’s the perfect time to pour back into yourself while you pour into your baby.

Here are 10 Autumn Self-Care Rituals for breastfeeding moms 🧡:

🧘🏽‍♀️1. Create a Cozy Feeding Space
Wrap yourself in a soft blanket, light a candle, and enjoy the quiet bonding moments.

💧2. Sip Nourishing Drinks
Warm herbal teas (like rooibos or chamomile) and bone broth can soothe and hydrate while supporting milk production.

🥗 3. Eat Seasonally
Enjoy hearty soups, roasted veggies, oats, and nourishing fall fruits like apples and pears — fuel for your body and your supply.

💧 4. Stay Hydrated
Cooler temps can make you forget to drink water — keep a bottle near your feeding chair or set reminders.

📓 5. Journal Your Wins
Write down moments of gratitude or milestones — your journey is worth celebrating.

🧣 6. Layer for Comfort
Wear soft, warm layers that make feeding easy and cozy indoors or on crisp fall walks.

📱 7. Set Boundaries with Screens
Replace endless scrolling with mindful moments — a walk, a book, or quiet reflection during nap time.

🕯 8. Embrace Slow Evenings
Dim the lights, play soft music, and let your body unwind with your baby beside you.

👩‍👧 9. Ask for Help
Lean on your village — a hot meal, laundry folded, or someone to hold baby while you rest is self-care, too.

💗 10. Schedule Your Care
You matter — plan your check-ups, lactation follow-ups, and mental health check-ins.

✨ Remember: Caring for you is caring for them.

✨ Prenatal Lactation Consults: The Power of Preparation ✨

Most families decide how they want to feed their baby within the first trimester — and research shows breastfeeding has a higher success rate when families schedule a prenatal lactation consult.

In your session, we’ll:
🌸Review breastfeeding basics so you know what to expect from day one
🌸Debunk common myths with evidence-based guidance
🌸Set realistic, personalized feeding goals for your family

Because preparation builds confidence — and confidence builds success.

My mission is to educate, encourage self-care, and empower families as they prepare for one of the most beautiful journeys: feeding their little one. 💕

Infant mortality is reduced by 50% when Black mothers choose to breastfeed. According to WHO and UNICEF breastfeeding well into toddlerhood (12-24 months and beyond) provides our black babies with:

🤎29% of energy requirements
🤎43% of protein requirements
🤎36% of calcium requirements

It is documented according to WHO and UNICEF that breastfeeding decreases childhood obesity, gastrointestinal viruses, upper respiratory issues…etc. It is no secret that our black babies are less likely to get admitted to the emergency room and also, less likely to be given pain medication. (table those stats for another day 😐)

That being said let’s provide our black infants/toddlers with breast
milk specifically designed for their bodies consisting of minerals, antivirals, enzymes, vitamins, and more to decrease certain illnesses and death.

~my mamma’s birth story~

“I found out I was pregnant with your older sister Autumn of 1972. I went to the clinic for my pregnancy checks. I saw different doctors for my pregnancy checks most of them were white male doctors. Your grandmother took me to one of my scheduled pregnancy checks because your father had to work, and I found out my blood pressure was high. I remember my legs and feet being puffy and swollen. I did not go home they admitted me to the hospital. I was induced in labor for 24 hours and I was not dilating. I had a caesarean section. They wheeled me back to the surgery room. I was in the surgery room by myself, your Father was not allowed to come back to the surgery room with me. They cut my stomach the old fashioned way…vertically, I didn’t get that bikini cut honey…lol.😉 I was wheeled to recovery and my blood pressure was still high and I was running a fever. I went to the ICU for 2 days because they wanted to watch me closely. I was transferred to a postpartum floor for 7 days. Back then you stayed in the hospital until they took your staples out; we didn’t have those dissolvable “things” ohhhhhh them staples hurt chiiiiillle. )))laughs((((
I stayed in the hospital a total of 12 days. I had that preeclampsia. I almost died having your sister… yes I did….”

Thank you mamma for your birth story. You are Black Maternal Health….we still have work to do. Love you!😉
