November is Diabetes awareness month. This year we had a student newly diagnosed with diabetes, however, it was originally missed by her pediatrician and paramedics. Knowing the symptoms and good communication with healthcare providers can make a difference.

Thank you to all The Colony nurses who came to help with teaching CPR, and all our staff who came to learn. Unfortunately, I forgot to take any pictures until the class was over. Disclaimer-The nurses and manikins did not out number the attendees, and all manikins were successfully revived before we removed their heads for storage.

Years ago some of our students decorated our health room curtains with a school spirit theme for a classroom project. They still look great in our remodeled health room!
