✨ Why Rib Cartilage Is Often Used in Revision Rhinoplasty ✨

In many revision rhinoplasty cases, the nose needs extra support or structure that simply isn’t available anymore from the patient’s own cartilage. That’s where rib cartilage comes in — it’s strong, reliable, and incredibly versatile for rebuilding the framework of the nose.

There are two ways we can do this:

🔹 Using your own rib cartilage
A small piece is taken from your rib, then shaped to create the precise support your nose needs.

🔹 Using donor rib cartilage
A great alternative for patients who want to avoid a chest incision. At my surgery center, I have a full selection of donor cartilage options so I can choose the exact piece that fits your anatomy and surgical plan.

Both approaches allow for beautiful, stable, long-lasting results — and the choice depends entirely on your goals, anatomy, and what your nose needs for the best outcome.
