We are excited to announce that we are one of the first pediatric practices to have access to the COVID-19 vaccine for children. The American Academy of Pediatrics has recommended that all children (over 2) wear masks in school. We know many Texas schools will not have a mask mandate, whether by choice or state government decree. But the effectiveness of masks and proper safety measures is proven in schools in preventing the spread of COVID-19.

The American Academy of Pediatrics released updated guidance for schools on Monday, recommending universal masking for students over the age of 2.

There's big news in the vaccine world! No, not THAT vaccine. A recent CDC study assessed the rate of transmission of HPV both before and after routine implementation of the HPV vaccine in girls and women, which started in 2006. When comparing rates of HPV transmission from the pre-vaccine era to rates in 2018, there was an 80% drop in infections reported in those under 25 years of age. We have been fortunate to have worked with her the past 15 years, serving our patients with kindness, compassion, and first-class medical care. Thank you, Dr. Cook!
