Finally, our last post for the Philippines trip. We have stayed at a hotel about 10 miles of Los Angeles Airport for May16-18. Have had phone contact with two Sippel cousins, one in Bishop and another in Newport Beach. Unable to meet in person because of a few unforeseen circumstances. Friday afternoon we drove the 25 miles to Newport Beach in only 1 1/4 hours because of traffic. Again travel felt like Philippines except no curves or mountain roads. Meal at Rusty Pelican Restaurant overlooking bay and boats. Clouds have been a part of each day. Currently at LAX for the final flight to Dallas later this afternoon. Delia’s most thankful for the opportunity to give ties to pastoral staff and students. She was also thankful to visit and give testimony in church at Camp Phillips started by her parents 70 years ago. Dick is thankful for renewal of friendship’s with our Filipino friends and families we have developed over past forty years. We are also thankful to catch up with our Sippel relatives in California. Thank you to all who have responded to our posts, we hope you got a feel for our trip.
