MedComp Associates

MedComp Associates We are a local to Dallas-Fort Worth, boutique style, healthcare revenue cycle management firm.

We are determined to provide best in class RCM services and billing for our providers, so they can focus on what matter most... patient care! We operate a novel, healthcare professional backed company, unlike any other company, that manages our clients with a boutique-type style with constant care and attention to each client. Although we have individuals with our team that have decades of experience in medical billing and RCM processes, our inception in 2021 makes us the "new company on the block" although most of our staff has owned businesses in the healthcare field and in medical billing. We are determined to provide best in class RCM services and billing for our providers, so they can focus on patient care and other critical goals. We want to be the trusted partner of choice that 100% of our clients and team members would recommend to a friend or colleague. Our novel approach brings together expert healthcare professionals from multiple backgrounds (doctors, pharmacists, nurse practitioners, nurses, and a respiratory therapist) along with premier, experienced medical billing professionals to handle a variety of complexities that providers and specialists bill for. We make reimbursements easy for our providers by pursuing claims on their behalf and having the tenacity to not give up until our providers receive their maximum revenue. We believe in processing claims in a timely manner so our clients get reimbursed quicker. We aim to be full service for our clients and give them direct access to our billers and owners. We make ourselves completely available to them in person and by phone whenever they have a need that arises.

Today we discuss our fourth core value… Relationships.

Building authentic relationships are about recognizing the importance and humanity of others; not merely what they can do for us, but what outcomes we can achieve when we work together and are invested in each other’s goals. The act of synergy to better ourselves and build each other up.

At MedComp Associates, we do not see our employees, colleagues, or clients as tools or nameless assets to be used in reaching goals or as a source of monetary labor. When we establish healthy, positive business relationships with colleagues, partners, clients, associates, and any other entity that directly or indirectly contributes to the success of our organization, we foster friendships, camaraderie, and valuable professional networks. We buy-in to the well-being of our colleagues and friends goals and do what we can to foster their growth as well as our own. When we excel, our patients are ultimately the end beneficiary of that work and that is always the goal of everyone involved in healthcare.

When we celebrate the accomplishments of our team members and treat others with respect, our organization can grow while maintaining our values. By providing guidance to others, we aspire to help them in selfless ways, even if it means their successes or accomplishments surpass our own. We are not afraid to teach our employees or colleagues new skills and develop their professional careers even if that entails their eventual departure or their diversion to a path outside our company.

For our providers and future potential clients, we ensure that when we have the opportunity to shine and be of assistance for them, we show our value. We always make ourselves available to our clients and we stand by them. We share our professional connections and resources to help our providers when they need it. We grow ourselves, our providers practices, and our relationships so that we can be the best to work with the best!

Today we release our short discussion over our third core value… performance.

Most would not at face value consider performance to be a core value, but when we consider it, we focus on the definition as our effectiveness in everything we do… what it takes impacting tasks individually and in our services as a whole.

Even before gauging performance, we must account for what leads to high performance. It is more than just our staff, but begins with our leadership. It takes having individuals in the right positions with the right preparation much like how a team prepares for an opponent. It is important to have staff that have essential characteristics and traits inculcated in each of them to produce results and maintain a high level of performance. The mentality of being outcome and goal driven. It is really the drive to meet the high level expectations that we consider this core value and makes us effective.

At MedComp Associates, we determine performance by our ability to implement optimal organization and efficiently process claims that create outcomes that not only meet, but exceeds the expectations of our providers we serve. We evaluate this through quantitative and qualitative data.

There are many points we can use to evaluate outcomes and performance. For some of our providers it is the level of revenue increase. For others, it is seamless ex*****on, quick reimbursements, and great communication. Whatever a providers concerns are regarding their revenue and practice management, we take pride in exceeding performance in all these areas so that we can truly be the best!

Today, we discuss the second core value of MedComp Associates which is Compassion. It is somewhat of a straight forward idea on its own, but I will expound on it a bit.

A recent analysis of the most pressing problems facing humanity, whether they are political, economic, social or environmental, showed that their causes lie fundamentally in human choices. From our last core value discussed, those choices are largely shaped by our values. We define compassion in basic terms to be the sharing of another person’s unpleasant feelings that is brought about by imagining their suffering, leading to a desire to help. Truly, compassion can be seen as the action, work, and outward display of the growth of sympathy and empathy.

For those involved in healthcare, it takes compassion to see beyond one’s self and dedicate their life to helping others. Those in the various medical disciplines know too well that one must pursue knowledge, hone skill, and build experience over years to impact lives at a consistently high level. The dedication of time and energy is paramount, even to the point of sacrificing one’s own desires at times.

Take todays atmosphere with Covid for example. Healthcare professionals risked and continue to risk their own bodies to help the public…. people they do not know. Even facing burnout from long hours and stressful cases, the cultivated compassion for one another has been overwhelming demonstrated by our healthcare workers. So what leads one to do all this and persist? Compassion…

At Medcomp Associates, being healthcare professionals ourselves, we exude that same compassion for others. Not just for our own patients, but for each other as colleagues, and for our employees. We aspire to treat others how we want to be treated so we do our best and perform at a consistently high level. It has led us to put a high priority on this attribute within our organization. Serving providers directly, we must have the tenacity and care it takes to produce maximized results when our providers leave their A/R in our hands. We burn the midnight oil if necessary. Although RCM does not directly impact care for patients, it supports the providers that do and their practices. It assists patients in receiving care for their medical needs through insurance coverage so they can have access to healthcare. We strive to be the best in everything we do and it starts with our core values. We aim to be the best to serve the best!

As promised, today begins our presentation on the 5 pillars of our core values across our social media. We will describe how we aim to impact our providers practices and how the way we conduct ourselves at our root core permeates our providers practices and bottom line. Our core values are integrity, compassion, performance, relationships, and education.
So we begin with Integrity...
There are many ways to look at integrity: some see it as an action or pursuit, a characteristic, a quality, a simple adherence to a rule or principle, or even a frame of mind. Here at MedComp Associates, we define it simply as living in accordance with your deepest values. In most ways, the values we are taught from our youth and we learn through experience mold the person we are today and in the future. Our characteristics and qualities bloom to reveal our works and the fruits of our values. Holding a value of integrity yields the fruits of honesty, respect, generating trust, pride for outcomes, responsibility, helping others, and keeping our promises. Its not hard to imagine that in the disciplines within the heathcare field that these are very important. From the relationships we forge with our patients to the partnerships we forge between each other in heathcare as profesisonals, our integrity truly proves what we are made of.
At MedComp Associates, it is imperative that we have deep rooted integrity and continue to inculcate it in every interaction and relationship we make. Our company's reputation, the reputation of its people, and how we operate reflects in our performance and the quality of our work. Every person in our company must exhibit the fruits of this value to be a part of this firm. We take our values very seriously. It shows our providers we partner with, and other providers searching for a billing company solution, that we are trustworthy, hold ourselves to a high standard, and understand the tenacity we have to produce results. With integrity, we take great pride in our ability to provide services with uncompromised value and never waver in our deepest values. That translates into long term relationships with our providers, so they can focus on their patients and personal goals.
In today's world unfortunately, it seems we have come to expect mediocre standards, a dog eat dog mentality, and just plain fluff talk. Morals, ethics, and values do not seem to be a guiding light for many businesses in practice. Being healthcare professionals ourselves, we know the qualities it takes to be a great healthcare provider. We hold to the same standards that our providers have to hold themselves each and every day in practice. As such, we maintain 100% compliance with the law, always exceed our clients' expectations, and are a trusted employer to our employees. Whatever we do... we do it with integrity!

With the sequestration of Medicare funding imminent, reimbursements will soon see a decrease for our providers across the nation. According to statements made by the AMA this year, this could affect the viability of provider’s practices. Not great news for my fellow healthcare providers.

The immergence of reduced reimbursements for services is not a new topic as every provider knows intimately. It slowly has continued to decrease year over year across Medicare followed by the other insurances in reimbursements of services, outpatient care, prescriptions, medical equipment, and many others.

So what can you do today my healthcare provider colleagues?

It has increasingly becoming more imperative for our providers to partner with quality firms to continue the fight in reimbursement. Along with standing against insurance companies and politicians in Washington D.C with our various associations, we need to optimize our own practices revenue cycle. At MedComp Associates, we see so much left on the table, incompetence with new trends, and just plain laziness from other revenue cycle management and billing companies we come across. Unfortunately, many of our providers come to us when things have already been made a mess of.

This is our company’s call to a higher standard in healthcare. We challenge providers to recognize impending reimbursement issues before they cause a falter and partner with the best. We challenge revenue cycle management companies to raise their standards, become educated, form alliances with their provider clients, hone their craft, and to have the tenacity to do their job and fight for our providers highest possible reimbursements.

With all this being said, over the next couple weeks we will, one by one, introduce our 5 pillars of our core values across our social media. We will describe how we aim to impact our providers practices and how the way we conduct ourselves at our root core permeates our providers practices and bottom line.
