Your birth matters! It matters today, tomorrow, and for years to come.
Having a doula present at your birth decreases your risk of being dissatisfied with your birthing experience.
It is important that as moms we strive to bring back the positive, celebratory aspects of childbirth through positive birthing experiences and positive birth stories!

"You birthed them with strength."

You grew a human from scratch.
You birthed them with strength.
You nourished them with love.
Your body is incredible.
Don’t let anyone take that away from you.

❤️Breastfeeding Tips for the Holidays❤️

❇️Keep to regular feeding intervals: Amid holiday schedules and activities, moms are more at risk for clogged ducts and mastitis, due to changes in feeding frequency and duration. Make sure you are taking breaks to nurse often.

❇️Babywearing: Everyone wants to hold the baby but this can be overwhelming, as well as expose them to unwanted germs. You can wear your baby in a wrap or carrier to keep them close. Plus you are hands-free!

❇️Eat whatever you want to eat! There are some foods that are commonly discouraged while breastfeeding, due to causing baby gas, etc. However, rest assured that MOST of the time you can just eat without worry! It’s hard enough as it is to consume enough calories while breastfeeding.

❇️Alcohol and breastfeeding: Current research states that “occasional use of alcohol (1-2 drinks) does not appear to be harmful to the nursing baby.” Nursing should take place 2 hours or longer after alcohol intake. There is no need to pump and dump. If you are sober enough to drive, you are sober enough to breastfeed.
