Do you suffer from headaches, dizziness, sinus pressure, ear or jaw issues… or shoulder pain, arm weakness, or tingling down the arm?
These symptoms can sometimes be connected to areas of the neck.
The Atlas (C1) is the first vertebra in your neck, sitting directly beneath the skull and brainstem. This area plays a critical role in how your brain communicates with the body. Because of its close relationship with the brainstem, it influences balance, blood flow, vagus nerve signaling, and structures connected to the ears, sinuses, and jaw. When this area becomes restricted, people often experience symptoms like headaches, vertigo, sinus congestion, jaw tension, and brain fog.
Further down the spine, C5 is heavily involved in shoulder and arm function. The nerves exiting this level help control the muscles responsible for lifting your shoulder and bending your arm, while also contributing to sensation in the shoulder and upper arm. Dysfunction here can contribute to shoulder pain, weakness when lifting the arm, arm numbness, or radiating discomfort.
Chiropractic adjustments help restore normal motion, reduce nerve irritation, and improve communication between the brain and body.
When the spine moves properly, the nervous system can function the way it was designed to.
Your spine protects the most important system in your body. Taking care of it matters.
