Hi clients! We still have a few more weeks, but wanted to give you all a heads up of my maternity leave from September 15, 2025 - January 4, 2026. 🗓️

Food &Nutrition by Arella, LLC will return to operation and restart accepting appointments on January 5, 2026.

Self-booking calendars will open back up as early as November 2025, but remember the first available appointment will not be until January 5, 2026. Try to message me with any questions before my leave.

P.S. This is the game plan, but we all know plans can definitely change with babies. 🍼 I will keep you posted if things arise.

Oh, it was so fun teaching these wonderful kiddos about nutrition through MyPlate. 🥕 They were sharp as tacks! 📌 We ended the talk with a healthy alternative to fruit snacks and bright smiles. 😃

Highlights from today’s conversation about Soul Food! 🥘🍽✊🏽

🟢Did you know the term ‘soul’ originated from the South around the 1940s when African-American musicians merged jazz, blues, and gospel to create a genre we know as “soul music”? During this age of rising African-American creatives, ‘soul’ was used to label many aspects of Black culture such as “soul power”, “soul sister/brother”, and “soul food.”

🔴 While consuming some traditional soul food dishes in excess may contribute to health decline; making small, healthful adjustment to this beloved cuisine can go a long way.

⚫️ REMEMBER eating healthfully doesn’t equate to neglecting one’s cultural foods. There’s always more than one way to get things done.
