If your neck pain comes with any of these 3 signs — this post is for you. 👇🏾

Most people treat neck pain with heat packs and stretching.

But if the source is neurological, that approach won’t help — and could actually make things worse.

Here’s what to look for:

① Numbness or tingling into your arm, hand, or fingers — this is your nervous system signaling compression, not a muscle problem.

② Pain that gets worse with specific head positions — rotating or looking up shouldn’t spike your pain. If it does, that’s a structural issue that needs to be assessed.

③ Headaches that start at the base of your skull — these are called cervicogenic headaches, and they originate in your cervical spine, not your head.

If you checked off even one of these, don’t keep waiting on it.

At Moseley Chiropractic, we don’t guess. We do a full orthopedic and neurological evaluation to find exactly what’s causing your pain — then we build a specific plan to fix it.

Good posture is one of the simplest things you can do for your long-term health, and one of the most overlooked. When we slouch or hunch for hours on end, the effects add up fast:

- Chronic neck and back pain
- Reduced lung capacity and shallow breathing
- Increased fatigue and tension headaches
- Poor digestion and circulation

The good news is that small, consistent habits can make a real difference. Here are three to start with today:

1. Set an hourly reminder to check in with your posture 2. Position your screen at eye level to reduce neck strain
3. Pull your shoulders back and down, and notice how much better you feel

Your spine supports everything you do. It deserves a little attention. What posture habits have made a difference for you?

“If I cannot do great things, I can do small things in a great way.” – Martin Luther King Jr.

We live in a culture that loves big transformations.

Before-and-after photos.
Miracle fixes.
Overnight results.

But that’s rarely how the body works.

Most of the progress I see in this office doesn’t happen in one dramatic moment.

It happens in the quiet decisions.

Sitting up instead of slouching.
Doing the mobility work.
Keeping your appointments.
Following through — even when you don’t feel immediate change.

Healing is rarely loud.
It’s consistent.

As a chiropractor, I don’t look for one big breakthrough.
I look for patterns.

Because small actions — done well and repeated — change how you move, how you sleep, and how you feel day to day.

You don’t need something extreme.

You need steady.

Black History Month means something personal to me.

It’s about legacy.
It’s about resilience.
It’s about service.

Long before many of us had access to opportunities in healthcare, there were pioneers who pushed through discrimination, lack of resources, and systemic barriers — not just to succeed, but to serve.

Because of leaders like Dr. Charles Drew and Dr. Rebecca Lee Crumpler, generations of Black healthcare providers were able to step into spaces that once excluded them.

Today, I’m honored to work alongside friends and family who are nurses, therapists, physicians, techs, and providers — people who show up daily for our community with compassion and excellence.

Representation in healthcare matters.

It builds trust.
It improves outcomes.
It changes lives.

To every Black healthcare professional making a difference — past and present — thank you.

Your spine does so much more than help you stand tall.

It protects your nervous system — the control center for everything your body does.
From digestion and immunity to mood, energy, and sleep… it all starts with the signals traveling through your spine.

When your spine isn’t moving or functioning well, those signals can get disrupted — and your body feels it in ways you might not expect.

A healthier spine supports a healthier nervous system.
And a healthier nervous system supports a healthier you.

Alignment isn’t just about pain relief —
it’s about how your body functions day in and day out.

Your nervous system controls movement, balance, recovery, and adaptability to stress.

When your spine is restricted, your body works harder than it should — even if you feel “fine.”

Wellness adjustments are proactive care:

• Support healthy movement
• Reduce unnecessary tension
• Help your body adapt better to daily stress

You don’t have to wait for pain to take care of your health.

Most athletes don’t need to train harder.

They need their muscles to recover better.

Dry needling targets stubborn muscle tension that limits performance and slows recovery — especially in the shoulders and neck from lifting, contact sports, or repetitive training.

When muscles stay tight, your body compensates.
When your body compensates, injuries follow.

This is one of the tools we use to help active people:

✔️ Move better
✔️ Recover faster
✔️ Stay consistent in their sport

🏋️‍♂️ If you train regularly, this matters more than you think.
