Man looks at the outward appearance, but God looks at the heart. Our client was discouraged due to being judged based on appearance following incarceration. However, at The Way Forward, 100 percent of our staff can relate, having a history of justice involvement. By partnering with relatability and resources, our case manager was able to connect him to employment, and residential empowerment is the next goal.

Check out these logos for the women at TDCJ Marlin Unit who have completed the T.H.R.I.V.E. course (Transforming Her Reality Into Victory Everyday) and will attend a special business mentorship session tomorrow to help them plan for their release.

This year, 187 women have graduated from the program. After prison, women will thrive.

It’s a beautiful Saturday at T.A.M.A.R. Today, we celebrate a significant achievement made possible through our partnership with Francisco Apartments. A client with three children experiencing homelessness was referred YESTERDAY and placed on our high-priority case load.

Due to their circumstances, the children have been out of school, which disrupts their education. We are pleased to share that we have successfully brokered housing for this family, and they are entering their new home TODAY.

We are grateful for the funding from Housing Forward, which enabled us to negotiate this lease. Their frontline approach now allows us to provide blow-up mattresses for this family until their new furniture from Furniture One arrives.

Residential empowerment is at the core of our care model, and we could not achieve this without the support of other frontline agencies.
