As of 4:15 PM, the entirety of this day has been spent serving others and the impact is real:
• A single mother with three children moved into her new home and will have new Furniture Next week thanks to sponsorship from Furniture One!
• A client who spent 30 years in TDCJ is now moving into his own residence after we successfully negotiated a lease
• Through a partnership with Ashley Apartments, a mother experiencing homelessness with her 4-year-old now has stable housing to support her new work-from-home position
• We’ve secured $11,546 in funding this month through Housing Forward to support housing navigation
• A single mother with a 5 year old son moved picked up her keys TODAY and will have new Furniture Next week thanks to sponsorship from Furniture One!
• A client who was no longer able to live with a relative received her approval for her home in 24 hours and was able to move-in with a letter of commitment that funds will come.
And we’re not done.
We still have days left, and our goal is to ensure 5 more families receive residential empowerment and stability.
This is what the work looks like....real people, real transitions, real change.
