We gathered for a powerful presentation and conversation on Global Jewish Responsibility & Antisemitism in Hungary.
We were honored to be joined by Erica Greenblatt of “The Joint” (JDC) who shared the impact of their work - especially in Hungary—supporting vulnerable populations, strengthening Jewish life, including the legacy and current involvement of the Dallas community in their work.
For a second time, we were honored to welcome Marcell Kenesei, Director of JCC Budapest - Bálint Ház, who shared his story and the growth of Jewish life in Hungary, highlighting the challenges and the extraordinary strength of Jewish communal life. Thank you to everyone who joined us for this meaningful and impactful program. 💙

🌳🍎 What a Sweet Tu B’Shevat Celebration! 🍇🌿We loved celebrating Tu B’Shevat with Laura Seymour leading the program. A beautiful spread of fresh and dried fruits and grapes juices exploring the meaning behind this holiday celebrating nature, the land of Israel, and our connection to the earth. 🍷✨🌱💚

Today, on Holocaust Remembrance Day, we remember the six million Jewish lives lost and all those whose lives were forever changed.

In our senior living community, where Jewish Values and Culture guide who we are, this day holds deep meaning. We have been privileged to care for Holocaust survivors—individuals whose strength, courage, and stories continue to inspire us every day.

We remember them not only in silence, but through love, respect, and a commitment to ensuring their stories are never forgotten. May we always choose compassion over hatred and remembrance over forgetting.

🕯️ Never forget. Always remember. 🕯️

We were honored to host a Lunch & Learn for our residents to learn about “Auntie Ann’s Letter”, an inspirational story of survival and courage. Thank you to Holly Cohn for bringing this moving and powerful program to our community.

Congratulations to Sarah Moskowitz (Class of 2026) who recently published a nonfiction graphic novel, inspired by a Form I English assignment! “Auntie Ann’s Letter” is the story of how Sarah’s great grandaunt survived the Holocaust and World War II. The book details Ann’s journey from leaving Poland to surviving the war and ending up in Dallas, Texas. “I want this book to provide readers with an opportunity to learn about the horrors of the Holocaust through the story of one survivor,” said Sarah. “As a 17-year-old Jewish high schooler in the twenty-first century, I believe that it is my duty to carry on Ann’s legacy by making her voice heard through this book.”

The book is available locally at Bird’s Bookstore and online at Barnes & Noble and Amazon.
