"Bertha consistently goes above and beyond in her role overseeing the Client Response Center and Sales and Service Support teams. She is incredibly knowledgeable and always willing to share her expertise to help us grow professionally. Congratulations to Phlebotomist Ernesto Salinas for being named the January 2026 Team Member of the Month.

"Ernesto displays and abides by all SHUSA's values daily, whether it be at the client level, with his co-workers, management, or other departments. I am consistently hearing how nice, helpful, respectful, and responsive he is when dealing with CRC, with comments provided such as, 'He is the nicest person when he calls or even through e-mails,' and 'He tries to understand everything and is extremely responsive when you ask questions or need help from the client.'

Also, during a recent site visit by the sales team, they received glowing comments about Ernesto, such as, 'He is always extremely professional and a team player,' and that they recently had their annual risk assessment performed by the hospital and that 'Ernesto had everything perfect in his area.' They are very appreciative of him."

Congratulations to Laboratory Technician, Agustin Ascencio, for being named the November 2025 Team Member of the Month. "During the past several weeks/months, there has been a lot going on in the cytology processing and women's health departments. We are bringing in new instrumentation, working on LABIS transition, hiring new team members, and maintaining our clinical workload. During this busy time, everyone on the team has stepped up to help, but Agustin has really stood out. He is always first to volunteer when a task needs to be done and often recognizes needs and offers help before he is even asked. He pulled and organized approximately 200-300 samples for instrument verification studies and LABIS testing and he was the LABIS champion for cytology processing. Due to internal promotions, hiring new team members, and one team member being on maternity leave, it has taken a team effort to keep cytology processing covered. Augustin voluntarily changed his schedule in order to train our new 2nd shift lab assistant, and he has often stayed late at the end of his shift to help keep the departmentt caught up after a day spent training. Augustin also completed his Roche training modules in record time, he was the last to be assigned the modules, which take 8+ hours to complete, but managed to get them done on top of all the other tasks already mentioned. Agustin is an extremely proactive team member, who is always on the lookout for ways to assist his team. His dedication and strong work ethic make him a valued member of our lab team." Congratulations to Clinical Laboratory Technologist, Jeremiah Javed, for being named the October 2025 Team Member of the Month. "Jeremiah single handedley takes care of unpacking and placing all the reagents and supplies received in the Core Lab. This is not an easy task, yet Jeremiah is very dedicated, and each day takes care of this task before moving to his bench work. He is always courteous to all team members, and never shies away from lending a helping hand to any team member. He is always willing, and offers, to fill in for team members and adjusts his shift times whenever needed. We can always depend on him to cover shifts.Last month is a great example of his dedication to patient care, where he volunteered to work nights, to cover another employee. Congratulations to Technical Advisor, Roy Rich, for being named the September 2025 Team Member of the Month. "Roy reached out to the Safety Committee with an opportunity to improve our Electrical Safety procedure and process to verify current leakage from laboratory equipment. He proposed a new process, provide a demonstration, and delivered a step-by-step set of instructions to assist in the revision of our procedure. Congratulations to Clinical Laboratory Technologist, Gil Quintanilla, for being named the August 2025 Team Member of the Month. " He is always willing to step in and help fellow team members with tasks. This past month, we had a large influx of cases, from one client in two days, and Gil left his normal rotation to help get all of these cases accessioned. He also helped get a new processing kit unboxed and QC'd quickly when we needed to put the new kit into use. Gil was patient in showing the cytogenetic students we had this summer how our procedures work and how we do them correctly. In learning FISH analysis, Gil is not afraid of a challenge and shows he wants to learn about all the different FISH probes we offer. Not only is Gil a wonderful teammate to the cytogenetics department, but he also shares his amazing attitude throughout ProPath, by being on the decorating committee and making the breakroom a fun place to be." - Nominated by several team members.

Congratulations to Lead Laboratory Assistant, Jennifer Keeney, for being named the June 2025 Team Member of the Month. "Jennifer has been facilitating the roll out of a new LIS system for our department, as we partner with Pathwatch and switch derm clients and cases to DOT. Jennifer led testing in this new LIS and then training of team members on day and night shift. She has been working closely with management at ProPath, as well as key contacts at Pathwatch IT and Pathwatch clients to implement accessioning cases into DOT, address client concerns, track cases, and respond quickly to requests from all.
